Why yes , I do have fairy castle cactus! i Have a few versions. One similar to yours. One that's fat and knobby with branches and another that an old coworker gave me as cuttings from his 6 ft fairy castle cactus that had broken off the top.i call it "Fred" after Mr Fred Bedard" who gave it to me! All these little miniature cereus are very curious cactus!! Such unusual shapes!! Their only drawback is scale and mealies that hide inside these plants. Their tight monstrose growth gives perfect hiding places!! I fought scale on one for years until it was down to one branch I cut off and scoured with a hose and let sit for almost a year out of soil, just kept washing it. And it made it!!! Thanks for sharing your little fairy castle cactus with us!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, to across the emerald isle, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌷🌴🌸🌿🌻🍀🌾💐🌱🌹🌳😃👍

It's no good hiding behind an Opuntia, I could still see you 😁 I've nearly killed mine taking cuttings off it. It might pick up when it has a drink in the spring. Only a few of the cuttings took as well 😲 Well done with yours Lyn, hope you and Hans have a lovely evening 😊🌵

Another amazing video Lyn, thanks again for showing us the good way to do things at the right time. I stay away from columnar breeds that grow too far to the sides, there isn't much space here on the balcony :D I hope you and Hans are having a good Sunday 🌄🌵

So happy you have a Fairy Castle Cactus too, I think mine may be more of a monstrose form of cereus peruvinaus, but I am not 100% sure as the turrets on mine are more triangle and square shaped and I haven't been able to ID it properly its a bit of a mystery haha, thanks so much Molly for your wonderful comment and support and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER from across the Emerald Isle XXXX

Thanks for the video and information about these rather curious cacti. Which reminds me - I still need to repot mine from the horrible substrate it came with when I bought it about a year ago! It's been pretty neglected and is looking rather shrivelled now.

So happy to hear that you have one of these Fairy Castle cacti too, they really are wacky, when I bought this one the substrate was horrible too and I had to chip away at the solid peat that was caked on the roots like concrete, thanks so much for your wonderful comment and support and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER from across the Emerald Isle XXXX

I've my worries about buying d fairy castle cactus at d local nursery as it looks very similar to my sister's. I'd taken a pup off my sister's cactus, planted it out in d open sun, and now it looks as if it's a variety dat can grow very tall with lots of pups!! (I gav it a huge pot (compared to yours! 😂). Because of dat, I'm hesitant to purchase anor one at d nursery! 😮

Thats fantastic that you have propagated one of the pups from your sisters cactus, and if its growing tall I wonder if its one of the larger growing varieties of Acanthocereus ? some of them can be quite small when young but grow much taller when mature but these Fairy castle Cacti are usually small growing, thanks so much for your wonderful comment and support and for watching, and sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a wonderful Wednesday XXXX
