This video features two of my seedlings sown in 2020 that started to lag behind with fungal issues. Instead of discarding them, I put them in a pot that had been left free and practically forgot about them. One day I noticed that they were not only recovered, but had become much bigger than their siblings.

Hi! I have listed all the ingredients in the video. :) If you are in Europe you can easily find these substrates. Any mineral mix with a suitable level of porosity and suitable grain size will do. Pumice and akadama, for example. You can add organic matter such as soil for cactus up to 30%, but less than that, the more humid the climate and the older the plants.

When do you water and how much after a repot? Do you use any nutrients on plants this size? Or ever?

Hi, generally I wait a week. It depends on the temperature, and if the roots are damaged. If it is a healthy plant I soak the substrate. For this plant size I use wormcastings, 10-20% added to a mineral substrate, the bigger the plant the less organics. It depends also on the type of minerals you use, and particle size. If it retains a lot of water, use less organics. For the mineral mix I'm using now, I add 10-15% wormcastings. Also I now add fine pumice sand to my mix, and it retains water.

I just pop the whole thing out and put it in a new pot without disturbing the roots

I often do the same when I want to repot immediately. When the root mass is too large, I remove the fine roots (they would dry out anyway and give way to new ones), and let it dry for a day or two and repot.

Will it still survive if i accidentally drop it on the ground?

Most likely yes. Even if it gets cracked, it will heal. :)

Good afternoon, how can I clean the plants
@lophoflora

Hi, I'm not sure if I fully understand your question, but you can use a soft paint brush, especially on seedlings. To clean the roots of large plants a bristle paint brush will do.
