This isn't perfect, since some aspects of the stories are identical in both Leon and Claire's story. For that reason there's no true chronological order in my opinion. This is a combination of Leon's 1st run and Claire's 2nd run. But there is plenty that is different and distinct to each character. I tried to mix it in a way that made it as though Claire might have been to a location first, then Leon made it there later. Sometimes they fight the same bosses, so I picked and chose which way seemed better for the overall story. Overall, with a little suspension of disbelief, I think it flows well together as one solid and unified story. I hope you enjoy!

I really like remake's leon, since he seems more nervous and confused about the whole ordeal, it really hit on the human part of it.

And so Sherry, Leon, and Claire walked off and became a happy family and nothing terrible ever happened to them again.

The RE2 cast seems so much more human and realistic in this game. They definitely did a great job adapting the story and certain scenes for the remake.

The chemistry between Leon and Claire is on point for this remake.

I guess i can safely and proudly say that the old versions of Leon and Claire have successfully passed the torches to their new versions. Well done, Capcom. Well done!

Zombies in cutscenes die from a single shot while zombies in the game can take at least six shots in the head and keep coming. You’ve got to love it.

Have you noticed that the story begins with a truck driver and ends with another truck driver? My guess is that it's supposed to symbolize that life will keep moving, whether we are alive or dead.

At 20:25, I can't get over how Leon awkwardly cuts Claire off like that. The lines make sense it's just that it's like Leon delivered his line way too soon.

This is what I think happened at Laboratory: Annette gave Sherry the cure > Fainted > Woke up moved downstairs and met Leon> Told Leon about Ada > Fainted again > Woke up and shot Ada > Died for real.

Kendo's daughter scene always gets to me. I wasn't prepared the first time I played, now anytime I play this I skip right through it. You never understand something like that until you have a child taken from you. Probably the worst thing to relate to, even for just a video game. Still one of my favorite recent games.

I love that we see Claire come in and blow zombie Branagh's head off, yet Leon later finds him chilling on his chair, refusing to come downstairs. Still a fun watch though

This remake was absolutely awesome! I hear Nemesis is next, but how about they make one that actually finishes the series story. Way back in the early days of these games I had hoped and assumed that they would make a final game with all of the characters meeting up for a final battle so let's hope that happens.

This game remake is absolutely stunning! The graphics, character design, scripting (for the most part), and voice acting was fantastic!!! My only complaint is that Leon seems so chipper throughout--even at the very end, he's all flowers and sunshine, bouncily saying that as long as they're together they can stop all evil forever! (Ok, a little exaggeration, but you get the point!) It doesn't really show how broken the Raccoon City event started making him, and it doesn't transition smoothly into what he becomes by RE4R (or even Darkside Chronicles, which is the only real segue into RE4R for him gamewise). I understand that it kept up the sweet, naive soul character, but then doesn't explain the moody broody he became when he says in the intro to RE4R that Raccoon City "killed the cop" (ie: innocent idealism) in him.

Still having trouble figuring out which story is canon. At first glance it looks like Leon's is, Leon can't fight Tyrant if G fucks him up. But Sherry makes it out in both campaigns, which she can't very well do if Ada has the sample.

This is my theory: In both play through, there were canon and non-canon parts. Police - Leon was canon since there was a desk for Leon. Moreover, Claire was supposed to read Chris's diary and find out that Chris was in Umbrella HQ at Europe, but it didn't happen here. Underground -Claire was canon since that was where she met Sherry Parking Garage - Both were partially canon. Leon met Ada, and Sherry was kidnapped Sewers- Leon was canon since he saw Ada once again Laboratory - Both were partially canon. Claire was canon when she killed Birkin, and Leon was canon when he met Ada.

Optimally Canon events, accounting for RE4R and the Original Timeline where possible. Claire (or Leon) Arrives at Mizoil first, tells Claire to get down like in the original. Leon arrives at the police station first, meets Marvin and gains his knife. Claire arrives second, sees the licker in the window @ West Hallway (like in the original.) Leon heads through parking lot, meets Ada and Ben, encounters dogs. Claire encounters and fights Birkin, meets Sherry. Claire heads through parking lot, meets Irons and encounters lickers feeding on the dog corpses. Leon encounters Mr X in the 2nd floor East Hallway (like in the original.) (Here is where it goes more technical.) Leon and Ada enter the sewers first, kill the crocodile and then Leon is shot, Annette leaves behind a door. Claire and Sherry escape Irons, William, and a slashed Mr. X and enter the sewers where Claire then meets Annette. Ada leaves Leon to rest and encounters a recovered X who is now also in the sewers. While Ada sleuths around, Claire fights Birkin and rescues Sherry while Annette incapacitates Ada. Claire, Sherry, Annette leave for Nest Leon wakes up and rescues an incapacitated Ada, they leave for Nest. Claire has to create the vaccine for Sherry. Leon has to find the sample for Ada. Claire makes it through the entire Nest section first for the most part. Leon makes it through the entire Nest section second for the most part. Claire fights Birkin, Ada betrays Leon. Claire vaccinates Sherry and they escape first, pass the burning pipes and machinery safely. Leon escapes second, the burning pipes explode and he and encounters X, fights and kills him with Ada's help. Claire and Sherry fight Birkin in the freight platform. Leon just makes it to the cablecar, meets Sherry and Claire again. Claire finishes off Birkin.

I love and beat this game 3-4 times. 2X each character. The best thing to do is to shoot their knee caps, so they’ll fall down and save bullets. RE 2 isn’t like the others that gives you a shit ton of ammo. You’re just supposed to keep moving through and solve clues, using your bullets whenever necessary.
