I was in a flood in 1972 Klamath R. It was vary scary. The river took out water line that came from across the river. Know water, moved out and fixed late spring.

So sorry for the loss of your house. You both worked so hard for it and for what you have and then have a flood come through and take it all away is very sad. The audacity of people to say things and to cheer it on just goes to show you how people really are. They wouldn't like it if the tables were turned on them and people said things about their house floating away.

Your whole entire life did not fall into the river . You are still alive and have each other . Our plaent is dieing , due to our neglect ! what are we leaving our grand children ! Where was your Governor when your house fell in the river ? You and We need to come together to solve problems maybe less stuff will make it easier for us too see the bigger picture. Since they lived near a river, hopefully they had flood insurance through FEMA. Regular homeowners insurance wouldn't cover this.

This building was employee housing for the Park. It was not a private home.

We stayed at a bed-and-breakfast in Gardiner several years ago. A delightful little town. The lady who greeted us taught me that peppermint tea is a quick cure for car sickness. Walking back after dinner I was amazed at all the elk just lounging in the front yards on the main street. I'm sorry you lost your home and I hope your family and your town recover quickly.

Something is extremely wrong in a community where people are cheering when someone’s home is being destroy. I would think twice to build/buy a home in that kind of community again. That is absolutely hateful. You need to ask yourself, why would others in your community create such hateful comments to you? Or what have you created, that has created such hatefulness into your lives from the few in your community? And why was it important for you to point that out? It sure sounds like an extremely dysfunctional community.
