@@GreatestManAlive TO couldn't manage his own career. SAS reported on what we all saw Kaepernick do in regards to the workout presented. Yes, I still stand 100% with Kaeps protest, but I also know that day when he decided to not show up for that scouting demonstration, he F'ed up any chance he had at getting back to the league. SAS tried to help. He warned him. And everything he said would happen, happened. TO only pops up to take shots at SAS, didn't offer Max and words of encouragement after ESPN, and just used him to make SAS look bad.

It’s bigger than OJ. This is only partly about O.J. This is more of a RACE issue. The Not guilty verdict was somewhat of a symbolism of years of racial injustice!! Like it or not OJ represents that slap in the face to to the US justice system that was created to disproportionately incarcerate blacks versus their white counterparts. OJ represented the thousands of black men jailed with little to NO evidence. We don’t hate the victims. The black community were saying “we got you back!” to our racist justice system. This was BIGGER than OJ. For you to be a “black man” and not understand that part of it is very unfortunate.

Honestly, I think you raised a very good point that highlights the perspective that is often missed by the vast majority on the issue concerning his verdict. Whether O.J. was guilty or not , his verdict helped some black people feel like the justice system finally gave their community a well deserved victory. Be it by overlooking the truth , or be it by finally delivering it. Again, I think you raised a good point.

I didn't feel that way and I ain't celebrate it at all. That being said he definitely should have been included in memoriam because of what he accomplished and meant to blacks before the murders. He was a legend on the field and was the first black athlete who was in major commercials and film. OJ was an ahole through and through but that can't erase what he did before. SAS always worried about white approval and acceptance and their perception. It's ran him crazy to the point where he trying to anticipate white opinions and get ahead of their disapproval and apologize for blacks. He brings this upon himself. Bottom line the dude died this year and he was a legendary black football player. It's that simple. And I actually like SAS but he need to chill. For someone to say what they wouldn't do within their own organization, based on their own personal beliefs is fine; yet, to suggest what an outside organization should not do based on only your personal beliefs (non-finalized proof as to substantiate that belief) is asinine. At/in the end, based on the USA Judicial system, OJ was never publicly found guilty of said crime. Until he is/was publicly found guilty, he would be eligible to even continually receive praises by the general public. Steven A. Smith: You were simply wrong by suggesting what an organization should do or receive based on nothing but a non-proven theory instead of repeatedly proven facts.

Here's the issue with Stephen A. Smith. We all know O.J.'s story, whether you see it as good or bad. But the one thing I remember about the O.J. trial is that it made me feel a sense of satisfaction, knowing a black man managed to get away with murder, or so they say. It's the same kind of thing white folks have been getting away with for years. Please make no mistake about it, Stephen A. We all know O.J. didn't care about us. The fact that he managed to beat the system sent a message to white people about how we feel. It's that straightforward. As a black man, I shouldn't have to spell this out for you, Stephen A. You've been wealthy for too long; you've been trying to appease white people for too long, and that's the real issue here. You're always apologizing because you're trying to serve two masters. You can't serve two masters without despising one, and that's the truth.

@@ChaseNSmoke the notion that OJ was being honored when his face was clearly shown as one of many other black public figures who have died in the last 12 months. Beyond that he plays victim anytime he’s challenged and the general public is against his logic. Why are you always on the wrong side of controversy? The BET awards did a lot of things that were questionable for outsiders, but for the culture the show was good. And if they wanted to act like OJ actually existed that was their perogative. OJ was a pariah after his trials, and never regained any acceptance among a majority of people. But BET can do what they want., if you don't like it get your own network.
