I had an onion, some old saggy roma tomatoes, and cilantro. I used powdered garlic, pepper, I had to skip on fresh peppers so I used some dried chili peppers I had w/ seeds. It still turned out amazing. Thanks for the recipe!

I love the combination of veggies he has in this. If I was to make it, I'd substitute the bell pepper for poblano, I would put those along with the garlic in the pan with the tomatoes roasting all of them together. As for the rest, I'm leaving out honey.

Some people want to feel the heat but not suffer, adding honey to spicy foods opens them up to a wider demographic(which this this supposed to be resturant style salse not 5% of people who love death heat salsa), and if you are threatening your mouth with the spice, you are also fcking up your digestive system. Take it from a semi-adult that had learned moderation after a youth filled with reapers and scorpions.

WHOOO-WEEE! Daniel, I live in Vietnam, and those red peppers are what I grow here. Those damn things are HOT! What you are making here must be a bloody fire hazard! You should include a warning about open sparks, or uncovered electrical wires, using a lighter less than 10 meters away. Hahaha! Great recipe! 😊

@ExtremeFoodReviews

The reason you can do it with tomatoes is because of their extremely high moisture content. You'd make charcoal if you tried it on chicken.

A much quicker way is to just cook then in cast iron and then flip. All you really want is the char on them for flavor. No reason to cook them through for 40 min in my opinion.
