Well my friends here we are at the last episode of the Honda VFR400 NC30 restoration series and now that we are here I can honestly say its my best restoration to date but on the other hand I never want to work on an NC30 again! Why is that you may ask? well its just the fact that this project has been such an adventure what with the rarity of parts, the cost of restoration, waiting times, the complexity of some of the parts so one VFR restoration is more than enough for me lol. So in this episode I tackle the job I've been putting off the most and that's tackling the bodywork its in such bad condition getting it back to a state where the repairs could be done was a challenging in its self but once it was all painted and stickered up it looked a million dollars. Also in this episode I got the exhaust all cleaned up and fitted along with all of the other mechanical parts and that's about it I think.
Enjoy.

I stand corrected. After a few comments and a bit or research it now seems much more likely that at some point the bike the bike was sporting a Mick Doohan Repsol replica paint job. Cheers Guys for pointing that out :)

Our favorite Scot is back! It sure is a treat watching you do your magic, my friend. It looks like that poor paint stripper worked some major overtime getting those poor panels deglazed of all that paint. It’s hard to believe it took you such a long time to get them back to bare plastic. This project sure was a handful, but I’m glad you got it all completed to perfection. She sure is a beauty, and no corners were cut, as always. Your skills are otherworldly, keep up the great work. Thank you for always giving us your very best, my friend. Take care of yourself, and we’ll see you on the next one.

The NC30 was my first "real" motorbike, I bought mine the same day as I passed my test. It is, IMO, one of the most beautiful motorbikes ever, even now. And hearing that engine running, with the gear train whine, brought a smile to my face. You did an amazing job there!

I think what is so impressive is not only your skills, but the range of skills. There doesn't seem to be anything you can't do to an incredible standard (apart from the seat upholstery, but I bet you could if you wanted to!). Absolutely marvellous and to bring this bike back to showroom - or better - condition is a treat to watch.

I can't thank you enough for putting this series online. I love a V4 bike, probably something to do with coming from the era of V4 2-strokes in Moto GP. Honda V4s always got my heart... I had a VF500 F3 back in the day that exploded spectacularly and needed a crankshaft repair and new big end bearings. That was the best repair job of my life! Got to say the NC30 was my dream and seeing you restore this one so completely has absolutely been the best thing ever. Keep her safe until the weather warms up and the roads are dry, then I think we all want to hear that rev limiter. The screech from the Honda V4 is somewhere between a jet engine and the Devil himself. Love it and thank you.

Always a joy to see things done properly. I got to watch this build from the day the first video dropped, and have been eagerly anticipating each next installment. This last video here was well worth the wait, but I kept checking back almost every day for weeks looking for it. Your work sets an amazing example and I sincerely appreciate the integrity in it. Can’t wait to see the next classic saved. ✌🏽

Another great series! I waited until the project and all videos were uploaded before I started watching, so just finished binge watching them all.

I'm not a motorbike person but I thoroughly enjoyed watching the wonderful restoration of this bike. Your attention to detail is amazing and I'm sure it's better than new now. Must be so disappointing not being able to take it out on the road.
