Use prep-sol to clean before painting. Don't use plasti-dip if you offroad as will peel off easily.

I've got a 01 Tacoma with faded flares, really like the idea of not taking them off! I wonder if a coat of clear coat after painting would help the longevity?

It will. i did it on my skid plat under my truck I do little off road and after I preasure wash it doesn't come off or peel off.

They look great, but you can bring back the original luster using a heat gun; if you have one.

What size tires are those and how much offset do the rims have? I just bought some dick cepek dc2 with some mud graps that are 12inches wide, was trying to figure out how much I need to lift it to get them to fit.

they are 285x75x16 truck has a 3 inch icon lift in front and a 4 inch lift in the rear.

Please help....If you have a solution to S-10 ZR2 fender flair rubber seal replacement. The rubber seals on my 03 ZR2 are roached and I can't find replacement. Tried local Chevy dealer, LMC Truck, Steal Rubber, no luck. If you have an idea or solution please post. Thanks.

Per Edward Nilsen No you can’t. These Tacomas use non porus plastic for those fender flares. That’s why even traditional plastic restoring products don’t work well on them. Plastic coatings don’t work at all on this non porus plastic. There’s 2 ways to restore it back to brand new condition: Remove the deeply embedded oxidation or Plasti Dip them. Using a heatgun on this non porus plastic won’t do shit but eventually melt them.
