It looks like it's ready for the dump, but can i restore it back to new condition?

Sony Experia is a beautiful phone . It has a very great camera . Thank you for fixing it !!! I was glad to see it . It is better to wear medical gloves so as not to get your nails and fingers dirty :)

Cost of parts roughly: AUD$30 LCD, $30 housing/frame, $20 battery, $5 rear glass, $1 adhesive.

maaaan, I love your work, I would as commented on another video, I will love to have my stuff repaired like this! Very nice job ! P.S. Real in-depth repair, amazing! He literally takes every reusable part from the old phone and uses a new frame, new display, keeps the Water Sealing intact, so much time spent on recording every step ... You get a like from me... big like !

Great job! 4K camera (HDR?!). Can you make an indication of total cost of the parts? I only use cheap old stock, used and underrated stuff.

The camera i used to film this is my phone, Samsung S10e. Cost of parts roughly: AUD$30 LCD, $30 housing/frame, $20 battery, $5 rear glass, $1 adhesive.

A little tip, you could add the total of how much you spent on the whole repair at the end of the video.

That was my original plan, but I thought it might cheapen the restoration work, if the total was higher than what most people would pay to fix an aging device. Will consider for future videos though.

5:27, what is that tool? Is it suitable to remove the fat ps3 IHS?

It's a metal spudger. It was originally used in dentistry to mix up filling material, but is now a disassembly tool. Not sure if it's suitable for IHS removal, never done that before. There are different thicknesses though, I recently bought a new one off ebay, and it isn't as thin as my old one.

@@RestoreTechnique I got you. I will try and find the thinnest one and see if I can remove and repaste the ps3 because after replacing thermal paste on the IHS, its still pretty loud. I found out that the fat PS3 paste on the cpu inside the ihs gets really dry. You should do a backwards compatible ps3 fix video!

@Restore Technique My sony z5 phone was broken 2years ago...and i keep it maybe it will be repaired (because my son pic&vids is inside)... but in iran i cant find yet whole frame or a specialist repairman as you... I want data only...phone no matter...
