I take a barrelled action made by FN in Belgium for IDF forces and Israel and restore it back to proper working condition. I encounter some issues along the say, such as the difference between parts for German Mausers from world war 2 and FN made Mausers, but eventually it all comes together.

I had a similar problem with an after-market (NEW) Paratrooper M1 carbine folding stock for about $150. As my dad, who carried that rifle in Korea, always said, "There is no such thing as a direct swap." The wood stock I had bought had an issue, the cutout was a bit too small to fit the M1 carbine metal parts. A quick trip to the Drill Press later and it fit, though I did cut into the wood a bit too much. At least my mistake was covered by the metal trigger guard once I screwed it in. Also, I did save the original stock so I can switch it back easily.

Yea, even though it's supposed to be modern manufacturing with "interchangeable parts," it doesn't always work out that way.

That is one of the guns I really want that I don't have. To think a gun made by Nazi's was later used by the Jewish state the history that gun has seen is insane. Also I did the same thing where i built a M1 Garand from a receiver and ended up spending more than buying one from the CMP.

It may have cost you more than what a complete one would have, but it isn't always about price. There is a certain satisfaction to taking just parts and building your own from basically scratch. Plus, you gave new life to that receiver, making it into a complete rifle.

True, I’ve been looking for one and have bid on a few auctions but they went for more than what I wanted. I plan to get one and will do a video at that point.

@@GearyGundersonyeah I was looking for what they sell for and I've been seeing 450$-550$ that's a crazy price for a bayonet..I don't remember how I got this bayonet but I had it for years and never knew what gun it was for
