I have an old combination square that I got from my uncle a long time ago and I thought i would restore it and make it look pretty again. it was a simple yet satisfying project bring it back to life and even improving it to make it more functional.

Very cool bud! Using the black acrylic paint and then wiping it off worked so well...I'm definitely going to steal that one!

The yellow is a nice colour but not sure I would have used acrylic. Also why did you paint over the brass wheel? It would look so cool with the yellow, methinks

I used acrylic mainly cause its what I had, no particular reason other than that. Though that does sound cool having the brass and yellow

Nice job, the jury is still out on the yellow….🤣 Actually I have and old Starrett combination square, but I am debating if I want to clean it or not. But after seeing this I may clean the ruler.

So acrylic paint you say. That's a keeper. Not gonna lie not a fan of the yellow. I see that you are experimenting with your videography I like it. LOL still mean what I said but I just realized that I watched with the sound muted. Funny though I was able to completely know what your doing without sound. Makes it easy for your non-english speaking fans.

Brother you trolled with that color right? I don't think I've ever seen someone record themselves spray on a gallon of black paint with nothing but runs. Then you chose some kids toy yellow to go over the black .To top it all off you brushed on another shade of bird dookie color on top of the yellow. I gotta admit, writing this comment has given me a laugh. Ah shit lol , you should have just de-rusted the ruler and applied the paint on lines/numbers. I hope you've since stripped it down and actually re-painted it black again.
