Lawn looks great. I got interested in lawn care last year and have implemented everything. Mow every 4 days, grub preventer, humic acid, fungus preventer, seaweed/fish emulsion liquid, weed preventer, liquid dethatcher, liquid aerator, implemented the 123-21 method of watering, did the tuna can thing,etc. My lawn is looking very good but I have NO clue which practices in particular are making the biggest difference.

Very nice results. I’ve just started using the hydrotain on my hot spots to see if it helps reduce the hand watering on the spots that get full day sun and get crispy every summer. Just finished my second application of the humic12, added sea-k to it this time. I’ve got St Augustine and I’m outside of Houston. Hoping I’ll see similar results. Trying to get those stolens running to fill in the dead spots. I just got some air 8 to try. The clay soil mix we have doesn’t soak up much water. It’s brutal here in September, hoping that I get half the improvements you did.

Hydratain works but I don't know about humic acid. I worked it in for years and the jury is still out on what it really did for my lawn. Grass Factor did some testing and found it doesn't really help so I moved on and focused on humichar. That has proven results.
@TheDylan6908
@TheDylan6908 Жыл бұрын
@ bucky I started using Andersen's Humic DG cause everyone and their mother are using humic but it's pricey so I only apply 1-1/4 lbs/ 1000sf of it 3 times a year so for my 2,200 sf lawn that bag will last maybe 5 years. That's $14/year so affordable like that and if it is snake oil no big financial burden.

Can I pick your brain? Do you remember what combination of grass you used? Looks like Kentucky Bluegrass, probably Perennial Rye but it also looked like you had some Fescue (the dark greenish/blue clumps.) Beast - in 2019 did you use a Scott's product with everything mixed in the grass seed when you threw it down or everything separately ie Starter Fert, pre & post-emergence. Your lawn is fantastic!!! And not -scalped- short like a golf coarse (which is ok for some ppl) I want mine to look like yours. Started Aug 1st 2021: Round-up (glyphosate) and have killed off what I needed to. Wanted to use Next's Air8 & Dethatch but they can't be sold/purchased in Oregon???? I'm not sure which chemical is the culprit---certainly not the Molasses. Bought a Sun Joe dethatcher so everything is scalped and I'm deciding which grass seed. Thanks so much for your help...if I can at least get an idea of what you used I can figure out the rest : D ps we use cool season grass seed in Oregon. I just can't get over how much your lawn changed with just a few products!!!

@thelawnbeast1644
@thelawnbeast1644 3 жыл бұрын
I apply when fertilizing and then water in. In summer months I just use that bio stim pack even when I don’t fertilize. It’s basically just a soil conditioner, and it will not burn grass and help make nutrients more available to soil especially if you have low or high PH. Hope that helps. Thanks for checking out the video!!

Hey thanks for watching So for example if the bag says 10-10-10 (Use some kind of scale, I use a digital scale I got at Walmart $10) Keep in mind first number on bag is nitrogen You would weight out 5lbs ( 5lbs X .10= .50 lbs of N per 1000 square feet) You may have to lower setting on spreader and just got in 2 directions to get even coverage

@thelawnbeast1644

Hey Conner. Thank you for watching So I watered exactly the same. I did adjust some irrigation heads to hit some of the dry spots more. But I was watering 2-3 times per week in the summer 35 minutes per zone. We have had a severe drought here in those island, so we did not get a lot of rain. I had never used hydretain before this and the stuff truly works. I had seen videos of other people claiming it worked but I had to try it myself. I will be using it from now on.
