Sounds Great with Headphones.
FM Reception is Above Average.
Twenty Four Hour Clock.
9kHz to 10kHz is Manually Adjustable.
A normal, retractable FM antenna. This is Nice to See.
Uses Standard AAA batteries, and works with NiMH Rechargeables.
Super Fast Tuning! Also Incremental Tuning along with Search.
Thirty Five Presets Per Band.
Auto Scan and Save for Presets.
The Ability to Manually add Presets.
Carry Strap.
Sleep Function.
Alarm Function, Wakes to Radio.
Features that could be Added or Improved on:
FM Stereo. Will add Appeal.
A Display LED Light, if it is low power consumption.
Improve AGC on the AM band for better performance.
Overall, this radio gets a maybe recommendation. This means there are other radios in this price range that are worthy. The feature set of the TR106 is Solid and if a few things are tweaked it will stand above the crowded arena.
