Friday September 11 2015 at 1 pm. The 12.27 Lincoln to Sheffield (13.48) train just visible in the distance. This is 15 miles south of Doncaster and the lines cross underneath the ECML just after the station. An unusual sign at the start: 'Prepare to stop at crossing ahead'. Not sure how one does that. Dust the brake pedal perhaps. The first instruction to road users seems unnecessary. The second one I did do but I've saved everyone from having to watch it. Apparently 86 trains and 81 vehicles use this crossing each day. It is also known as Gringley Road LC even though it is in Grove Lane.
