I have previously uploaded a few short clips from my filming on 12/04/16 on a very wet day at Retford. For those that prefer longer videos, this video is everything that I filmed in 2 short visits on that day and shows the regular stuff and the surprising stuff that passed through that day in the sequence they ran.
The video starts with a class 91 leaving Retford on its' way to York, and surprisingly passed by a Grand Central class 180. Previous observations have been that the Grand Central trains get held to allow Virgin trains out ahead.
Later, the video shows one of the new Robel Mobile Maintenance Trains coming from the Sheffield line to get into the down sidings. I have since found out that this unit is now based in Retford.
At 02:52 67003 is shown on a class 91 drag. The electric loco (blunt end first) and its' train was on its way from Leeds Neville Hill to Bounds Green after failing.
At 06:07 a Container train for Felixstowe is unexpectedly diverted into platform 1 instead of running through on the fast line.
At 07:43 a class 67, 67023 is seen running from Kings Cross to Doncaster. I believe this was the Kings Cross thunderbird loco on its way to replace 67003 as the Doncaster Thunderbird loco.
Finally, at 08:07, a DRS class 66 takes a single Greater Anglia coach to Doncaster from Norwich.
In between these clips are the more every-day types of train on this section of the East Coast Main Line.
