Check one of JR's video : • the Vietnam Visa Video...
Many of us may have fallen in love with Vietnam. Some even consider to spend the rest of their living in vietnam because it's such a great country with lots of things to offer. life in vietnam is certainly a chill. Everything is as affordable as many of us Westerners have been looking for. It will be understandable if you want to retire in vietnam 2023. retiring in vietnam could seem like a good life, with low cost of living in vietnam, surrounded by good people, and good food.
However, not everything is as how we imagine. Especially during a time when things change on a daily basis, you will never know the next step to take as a foreigner in vietnam. Your retirement planning could be invalid now because Vietnam has changed a lot in its policy for foreigners to live in Vietnam long term. It's now more challenging for expats in vietnam to stay as longer as they want because a few terms in the policy don't really put us in a good position. Many have already left Vietnam due to this sudden change and this is certainly not giving anyone an easy time to deal with things that many don't certainly feel comfortable going through (For example: paperwork, exist stamp, arguing over different conditions, etc).
This will never be clear for many and you may find yourself being stuck in the middle of changes. As someone who wants to help expat experience a good time while enjoying Vietnam, I also wanted to learn more about this specific problem. That's why I invited on the show a special guess who has been in Vietnam for 9 years, going through ups and downs as an expat. He has fallen in love with the country but once he's found out everything is not the same no more, he was very disappointed. Our friend has gone through some serious steps to get the things done, and now he will be on the show to share his personal experience on the situation right now for those who want to retire in Vietnam.
In today's video we will be talking about:
00:00 - How to retire in Vietnam
01:54 - JR's story
02:52 - Best place to retire in vietnam
03:43 - Pros of living in Vietnam
04:19 - How much does it cost to live in vietnam
06:10 - Retiring in Vietnam requirements
07:16 - Taxes of pensions in Vietnam
07:47 - Health Insurance for retirees
09:23 - Reasons not to retire in Vietnam
10:30 - Retirement visa in Vietnam
09:34 - Reasons not to retire in Vietnam
12:19 - Solutions for retiring in Vietnam
13:25 - Finding a job as a retiree in Vietnam
15:40 - Future of retiring in Vietnam
16:56 - JR's next journey
17:50 - Wrap up retirement in Vietnam
You will be listening to some of the things that explain to you reasons not to retire in vietnam, as well as why you should consider vietnam as the place to be. Vietnam 2023 could be a lot more different from what you experienced in the past, so be careful with the changes.
I hope you enjoy the video. Make sure to leave a comment, like and subscribe to show some support to my channel growth.

I'm retiring at the end of 2023. This video convinced me not to consider Vietnam as a possible retirement country. I visited Vietnam in December, 2013, and really like DaNang. It's time to research Cambodia and schedule a holiday there.

Obviously, I'm a little late finding this video but it was refreshing to finally see an interview with a foreigner (expat) that's over the age of 35. There's seems to be a few problems with attempting to retire to Vietnam without being married to a Vietnamese. Nonetheless, it was an interesting video. I'll look elsewhere in SE Asia.

@Vinl33 Yes it's important to mention there has to be an investment put upfront such as 50k usd. So not only 200 usd @GetSmart Paul ;). You can surely find cheaper deals, but I doubt what you get ...

@@MoveToAsia that is true. Foreigners who don't speak the language have to hire english speaking firms who charges at the rate you are saying. I am just lucky that i had friends who already knew the language who helped me and by now i speak the local language too. Hence no need to pay the higher price to get advise. Some firms charge even up to 7-8k usd. I almost went with a firm which was planning to charge me 3k usd but i got advise from friends who stayed here for 30 years already by now.
