My Cousin was James K. Donahue, a well-known name in Baltimore. He was recognized for helping revitalize the Inner Harbour by bringing Car Shows and Boat Shows to the Convention Center. Mayor Schaffer awarded him the key to the City.

It’s neat pulling up the addresses from the videos to see how it looks today.. and picture the people in the video there today and wonder where their lives had taken them

The TV story is really a blast from the past. Can anyone imagine fixing a TV now. ? I don't even bother with buying warrantees I just buy a new one. That goes for all electronics. By time it's broke there is a newer better one. Three years in a row I got a new LG because Everytime I checked them out they were better. No more remotes just tell it what to do. It's basically a giant computer monitor now. I however do remember when picture tubes were replaced.

Repairing the internals of the newer sets is quite easy. The problem is actually getting the set apart as the shell has tabs that click together, rather than being held together by screws. I've done repairs on the old CRTs in arcade games, before. But getting to those is quite easy. The newer LCD sets are a PitA because of how the outer shell works. Once inside, though.... the components are basically the same.

BG&E trucks, the way they used to be. Livery-wise. Of course BG&E was the premier such until Constellation destroyed it.

Nice to see old news from Baltimore, but it has gotten worse schools are in disarray, crime is off the heezy, and some neighborhoods are dilapidated.

Just talked to my wife an hour ago about how gentrification in other cities displaced primarily black people but in Baltimore it displaced primarily white people. The waterfront neighborhoods that they moved into we traditionally poor white neighborhoods. Then I listened to this opening story and they were interviewing those folks I had just referenced.

Yes they did, the 2 black women whom you saw talking about the crime and break-ins are personally known to me because Vera Johnson is a very dear family friend whom worked for housing together with Laraine Coates whom is my late sister whom passed away in 2009 due to illness but she and Vera Johnson were very close friends whom both worked for housing and always wore their hair naturally. Sincerely do love and miss my dear beautiful beloved late sister Laraine Coates so very very very much 😥💔 and may God continue to bless our very dear beloved family friend Vera Johnson and her loved ones always. ✝️🙏❤️
