With Sonic Mania (hopefully) just around the corner, A Pyro Design and I decided what better time than now to do a full Retro Sonic Logo and bring it to life. He's the logo man so I was tasked with creating the blurry blue legend himself, Sonic.
I created in it Fusion 360 using the sculpting tools, then printed it on my Da Vinci 1.0 Pro, and handed it off to my wife for sanding and painting with acrylic paints and a paintbrush.

This is amazing! Great work. Taking the 2D image into 3D world is not easy and you guys nailed it. The rotational shot towards the end is just super sweet! Well done and thanks for sharing.

Very well done, I did a few sculpts in Fusion, and this is a really good one. I think once you get into such level detail, Fusion just doesn't cut it. You can do all of this and then some with zbrush, only stuff I miss in zbrush from Fusion parametric stuff, but I'm learning, so it might be there, but I'm not seeing it. I've moved my character creation stuff to zbrush entirely. Zbrush zmodeler brush lets you do all the topology manipulation that the Fusion sculpting environment is all about, but you can actually sculpt in zBrush and not futz around with sketching out the mouth and fight with Fusion to get various details right. Ohh, and I wish the 3D mouse worked in zbrush, other than that anything organic, I'm doing in zbrush. This literally would be a 2 hour sculpt in zbrush for a novice like me. Last character I made, I spent a dozen hours in Fusion getting all the shapes right, and I still didn't like it. Moved to zBrush, and got to the same spot I was in Fusion in 40 minutes, as my first sculpt. Well done by your wife to make it look so good in the finished product.

Yeah we do! I'd love to work with you on something like that. I've had some Gears ideas kicking around for awhile now. I've just been too nervous to tackle them because I want them to be perfect lol.

A Pyro Design sorry I guess you did not get my question. As experts say 3d model should be water tight and in 1 piece. while modeling you made shoes with a separate object and fingers with separate object and so on. So my question is how do you combine them and make single object in the modeling software

Actually Fusion has extremely powerful Boolean operations. There's a command in there called "Combine". I just click that and all the different objects and it combines them all seamlessly. It's pretty amazing. And it eliminates the need for remeshing and stuff like that. So just the combine tool. :)
