Adam, you say Bluetooth, but it isn't. That is the 2.4 Ghz model which is even better! Less latency and dropout for retro gaming than Bluetooth. Also, I love your videos, have a great holiday season!

Have the 2.4 wireless and the USB wireless. Love these along with the Genesis/MD rereleased controllers.

This SEGA PlayStation controller at 5:39 honestly took me by surprise. I mean come on, we saw the Nintendo Play Station controller before, which is a rebranded SFC controller. By extend, considering XBOX controllers are based on Dreamcast controllers which itself is based on the Saturn pad and Nintendo applied the XBOX's controller layout (minus BAXY vs ABYX), we probably went full circle.

This is a hell of a coincidence. I got the retro bit sega saturn controller and Bluetooth adapter in the mail the same day this video was posted.

I've got one of these and I absolutely love it. I think it's one of my favorite Saturn accessories.

I love the wired retrobit 6 button that I bought for my genesis, it came with an orginal 3 button that required i mash the buttons way too hard. The retrobit is so good that I beat Greendog for the 2nd time in my life in about a half hour, so blown away how hard that game kicked my ass at 7

With all the incredible Capcom fighting games on the PS3, especially the iron Galaxy ports, for those poor souls who didn’t use an arcade stick … wireless Saturn controller is PERFECT. Saturn floating 8-way D-pad and six face buttons are still to this day the best non-arcade-stick way to play the timeless Capcom fighting games, like Marvel vs Capcom 1&2, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike, Darkstalkers, etc

Have the Retrobit Saturn, Genesis, SNES and N64 wireless controllers. All work great on original hardware and my Switch. I even use the SNES controller on my Neo-Geo via adapter. Highly recommended!

the genesis ones are great, but i have tried two for the saturn, and both have the same issue: the c-button gets "stuck", and doesn't come back up again after being pressed. it doesn't happen all the time, and it pops back up after a little jiggle, but for fast games it ain't great. cool that it works with the pluto, though!

I have a few of them in my closet at the moment. I haven’t used them yet because I love the stock Saturn controllers, both the big and the small.

And now I want that PS2/ Saturn controller!

I bought 4 of the USB Saturn ones 2 years ago. Crappy assembly job, 2 of them just stopped working. The wires they used for the cables are just cheap and they just stopped working. Only positive is that the shells are identical to OG Saturn controllers, so swapped my gray controller shell for those clear ones.

I have the wireless controller I use for my Sega Saturn & Sega Genesis mini.

I know that a lot of people are not big fan of the retrobit dpad, but 8bitdo do offer conversion kit for the sega saturn controller which turns your regular controller into a bluetooth one and they are not that expensive. That is what I have done with my japanese sega saturn as none of the new controller were the same color as the grey-blueish one.

I bought the wireless controller. I already have the wired one but of course I must buy a Saturn contoller with pink buttons.🤤

9:58 also 3D Sonic The Hedgehog on 3DS by M2 from 2013 has Spin Dash option in Settings - but it’s probably included in any further releases of Sonic 1 anyway🤓

The reason why this controller and many others work on the PS3 is because it can recognise DirectInput. The controller standard on Windows before Xinput became the standard. (Fun fact: This is same reason why the PS4 and DualSense partially work on PS3, because on PC it's recognised as DirectInput.)

I bought these and returned them 'cos of the C button sticking. And it wasn't just me. The gamepad is not as good either. I mean after getting a M30 by 8bitdo it was sooo much better. No comparison. And as for the dongle it kinda sucks since I realized you couldn't change the C and Z button config. So in saying that, I got the Brookman Wingman SD which works as a wireless adapter not only for the Saturn but also the Dreamcast. And it can change the button config to what you want and has two modes for each console: Controller mode and Arcade srick mode. I think if you want the best experience, that's your best option. These are good if you don't want to spend that much money but again. You get what you pay for. I'd probably reconsider these if they upgraded their firmware for the dongle to allow you to change the C, Z button config. But last time I checked they didn't bother to release any new firmware for their dongle.

I considered buying a Wireless saturn controller but after buying the SS HDMI cable, 3/4 discs of Panzer Dragoon Saga, a second Saturn with VCD card at a flea market, and a new action replay card cause my old one broke...then i realized that yeah, maybe i'm good with spending money on the Saturn for a while haha. I'm gonna catch some flak for this i know but since last summer I've become more of a Saturn guy than a Dreamcast guy. I dunno, something about it clicks with me more than the Dreamcast. Neither are bad consoles tho.

My copy of that controller I bought 2 years ago only works fine within a meter... Not 10, 1 MEE-TERR. It seems to act like bluetooth instead of the superior RF which IT SHOULD BE!

5:22 I don't know the reason but a knock off PS3 controller works on my Switch and a knock off Switch controller works on my Xbox 360 with an adapter that makes possible to use PS3 controllers on 360. PS3 and Switch probably have similar controller designs.

I have the exact same controller model and the initial impressions are great but over time the right trigger got softer and softer until the pulsation feedback disappeared. In the end it stopped working and I had to do surgery on the controller to desolder the button and put a new one that obviously solved the problem but a few months later the left trigger began to have the same issue. I don't know if it's a general problem but in my case I had to take the soldering iron out to work.

I also tend to stick to wired controllers. On my pc I leave a Xbox 360 wired attached.

I like the Saturn controller very much. This alone makes the Saturn a better platform than the Dreamcast. And Dreamcast is not even a planet.

I have been debating whether i should get this or that brawlers controller by retrofighters. I think i will just get both. That way i have one with an analog stick and one that is wireless. Either way both are an improvement over my first gen sega saturn controller that came out in north america.

The wireless might be a problem at a convenient . Lots of wifi interference Maybe getting 2 or 3 controller extensions might be better .

Adam, I might actually splurge for that SEGA Saturn PS3 controller. speaking of SEGA, did you know that the definitive port of Earthworm Jim 2 is on the SEGA Saturn? this is for 2 specific reasons: the PC is not a console & the PSOne port of Earthworm Jim 2 was only released in PAL regions to my knowledge.

I have one and I'm trying to connect it to Windows 10 via bluetooth, but it keeps asking for a pin and I can not find any info anywhere on what this pin number could possibly be. Yes, I tried the common ones like 0000 and 1234.

It's funny how people praise the retro-bit controllers and I don't blame them they're great but after months of use it dies on you I have bought four wires controller and they all died around the same time maybe about to 2 to 3 months of use I will never buy them again right now I'm trying the wireless one and see how long it will last me I hope this one doesn't die but I do have the retro fighter Saturn controller just in case for backup I just wish somebody will make a video about these problems or a video about fixing the issue but I heard that retrobit has fixed the issue we shall see but cool video dude

Why is there a SEGA Genesis 3 in the intro?

I order my first one, when it arrived it had a very cheap plastic smell and half the buttons didn’t work probably just got a bad one

I’m really upset about the durability of the product. I’ve bought two (retro-bit sega Saturn Bluetooth controller) in March and 3 months ago a button stop to work in one of them. Last Sunday the good one has its D-pad broken (not turning left). I’ve open both and cannibalised them in order to have at least one functional. The D-Pad broke because there’s a really thin piece of plastic underneath the cross and this piece just warped out. The other controller had a strange dust formation inside of its board. I’ve cleaned it using cotonete and it seems to be fine now, but I couldn’t find a spare part to substitute the broken cross. The problem is there’s no easy way to find these parts (if necessary). My original Saturn controller is 100% functional (and 25 year old ). They should improve the quality of the materials and the QC.

The battery on the wireless Saturn controller is poor, and my left shoulder button collapsed so it doesn’t depress anymore. I wouldn’t buy another controller from them in a hurry.

It look exactly like the original "this is cool" one. Do you have that variation of Saturn, too? If I recall well it was the last revision of the Saturn, sold only in Japan (obviously...) and it was actually cool 😅. BTW, I think the Japanese Saturn controller is still the best controller ever made for 2D games! Compact but ergonomic with the best d-pad ever made, best disposition of buttons and also microswitched L and R buttons. A masterpiece!

I have two Retro Bit Genesis wireless controllers both of which no longer connect so they are both garbage. Not sure I want to give them more money. I may get a wired controller but it seems silly in this age they can't make a decent wireless model.
