Its more of a gofundme thing than kickstarter, I also managed to do similar using a raspberry pi screen kit which was nice and compact.

That's what I was looking into, I guess Kickstarter is something different now and has changed. That's where my idea started but all this is, is a standalone screen that attaches to the devices you choose. The plan is to have 2 sizes as well but the bigger screens I think are overkill. Thank you for the tip too, I am going to look into GoFundMe today.

See, this is the kind of technology I like. I like experimenting, creating, building, and learning. This is believe it or not, a good way to use technology. It takes hard work and effort to accomplish something like this. If only the rising generation could actually make use of their technology time than waste it with TikTok and such.

Ha I've been secretly working on this because my buddy said he hates DS/3DS emulation because of the lack of dual screen. I put my brain to work, now I need to build a design with ideas.

This is exactly what I was curious about with the USB3.0 port on the Retroid Pocket's display capability. I just never got around to testing it. You're probably better off making the external screen the bottom screen, since that's where the USB3.0 port is.

Well my idea would be universal to either option top or bottom, the only problem with that is the touch which does work too btw but there's a slight problem Android Wise with the touch of external displays. Otherwise the trial design I'm coming up with is pretty awesome.

Ha I never thought to test this with my Rog Ally yet I always forget WiiU utilizes the handheld for some games. I didn't own a WiiU until this year so it's sort of new to me.

Oh I know the big thing is I'm trying to get my dummy design for the screen. I'm hoping my family member will let me borrow their 3D printer to do so as cardboard boxes aren't really the logical way 😂

I have a 3d printer I've never used outside of trying to print the test OWL failing twice. I bought the CHIRON by ANYCUBIC, which at the time was one of the largest consumer grade 3D printer, about 1.5 cubic feet of print volume.

let’s say with that screen u have and u can make it something like the screen have some kind of attachment that can be folded so that the screen can fold onto the rp4 pro, make it like a 3ds handheld and at the same time when folded can protect both screen…if u make one i will buy and support u

Noice idea, you could cut the wires that pass energy in the USB-c cable and leave just the data wires since each device has it's own battery.

Yeah I've done some investigating and already have some other items coming for the internals. Currently the screen is powered by the devices it's plugged into as well and has USB C pass through to keep it charged if need be.

I’ve been working on designing something similar to this for my ally that just uses the usbc port but uses the xg mobile to really lock the second screen in place

Oh nice, I thought of this a few months ago because the biggest problem with dual screen emulation is the lack of the second screen. I'm working on a way to get this working with Lime3DS for Android as well as this feature is only in Drastic currently but works really well. It's cool to hear others trying to build things like this too.

I have a 3d printer 😁 and i have a moose 3d scanner on the way. But i only have an Odin 2 but could do dual screen for that. I recommend a Bambu Lab P1S with AMS or the upcoming Creslity K2 with their AMS. But yeah could be fun to work with you on this :)

That's a question for another type of video. The Odin 2 is the ultimate if you want to play a lot of emulated console based games up to and including many Switch titles. The Retroid is for some console like Wii/GC 2D Switch PS2. The Anbernic well I did a video review about it but recently I discovered something any of these other 2 companies can implement so I'm trying to reverse engineer it.

This is already in the works of being produced in large quantities this isn't just a random lcd you can find on Amazon or AliExpress slapped together. I had to source out the components from multiple sources which multiple sources failed to provided until I found one that actually delivered what I needed.

Thanks Rowsell (every time I see your name I think Roswell I'm an Alien believer lol) this project has been worked on for hours now. I even spent time last night testing battery consumption last night and it actually doesn't eat the battery too badly. 1.5 hours the Retroid went from 100% to 63% using the screen with DS. It also has USB C passthrough charging anyways if needed.
