Here I show the ascent to Wittenberg Mountain in the Catskills in detail. Featured in the video is the Woodland Valley Campground, primitive tent sites along the trail, numerous streams and muddy terrain, steep bouldering and climbing, and the beautiful summit of the mountain.

Nothing better than hearing the roar of the water while you relax! I am a fan of ocean waves while relaxing also! I am NOT a “glamper “ I would rough it …. Unlike my daughter who would rather Glamp instead of camp in a tent ⛺️ 😝 But one day I will get her into a tent to camp

Same for me. I'd say it's my favorite with West Kill a close second. Been on Wittenberg 3 times. The approach from Woodland Valley is great. Cheers.

Hit me up anytime for joint venture. Myself and Caps who also commented on this vid are planning a hike sometime in the future. All 3 would be cool. Even if you go solo shoot me a message for advice where to go, I frequent the Catskills a lot and know it well.

No doubt I missed out on a great hike! The view is amazing from up there. That second site is in a brilliant spot, you could hike up there and setup and then just day hike up to the summit and over to Cornell. This is definitely going to be my next overnight in the Catskills. It's just too good to pass up with sites like that. I was hoping to get up there this weekend but I made a plan to go to Harriman to scout a location for a project a friend of mine is working on. Going to hike in Friday afternoon and then spend Saturday at a lake checking things out. Maybe I can shoot for the weekend of the 25th. Great video bro!

Ya, that would be awesome. If you stay at a site you could do the entire Burroughs Range Loop that includes Cornell and Slide. There is a big tent site near Cornell also that has 6 sites. The loop does have a 2 mile road walk included though. I hope to see your perspective of the hike soon. The trail is amazing. I could have posted an hour of amazing footage.
