Cher may you be blessed as you have compassion and passion for saving lives , Kavanna is very blessed that you became a very important part of Kavanna life. What I do not understand is that humankind can be so kind and at the same time so cruel towards animals. Look at the eyes of this elephant Kavaan, after being rescued. . Animals are innocent and they can forgive. We can learn still a lot from animals like Kavaan. Thank you FourPaws and all humans who care for animals.

Thank you for the hundreds of thousands of dollars you gave and for risking your life during Covid to personally go to Islamabad to have him released. Great work from Four Paws and Cher. Kavaan is in good hands with Darrick Thompson and his team. He is the husband of world renowned conservationist, Lek Chailert. They have experience and great work with elephant protection. You are all heroes.

Everybody FOUR PAWS and CHER and Eric S. Margolis all the PEOPLE who safe KAAVAN and give Kaavan a Freedom life in safe wonderful sanctuary in Cambodia who make a amazing jungle for Kaavan Darrick Thomson and Pedro Vella and all who give Kaavan this amazing place in jungle. I hope that other elphants in chain can go to this elephant paradise in real world.

I watched this rescue every step of the way. Dr Amir is dedicated to improving the quality of life to all animals. Kavaan is so special. He now has a happy life in beautiful surroundings. What a fantastic team.

Thank you for the rescue, even through the pandemic, no one gave up on kaavan. So sad to see animals being tortured and isolated. If only they could speak. God bless the mission.

Thank you for saving all these animals but Kaavan is something special that sweet boy is learning to trust again yes he still working though a lot has his time too yell push tree's over. I know he happy at home but too much change in short time we all have those times he smiles relaxed enjoying his home in the jungle I think he misses his girl's did not understand that this was his next step. I think sometimes elephant's who been in hell for 35 year's need a little extra love to know they did nothing wrong it just one more step to day outings being free you all picked the perfect home for him.

His story will always make me cry! But the rescue and the flight to Cambodia was truly out of this world!! Sounded impossible to achieve. But so many ppl came together to make this happen. Forever grateful to everyone involved! He is like a phoenix! Re born.....new elephant...loved by all who see him...may he thrive for a long time in beautiful jungle of Cambodia...xoxoxox

Yes indeed. The ellie definitely deserves another place. Kavaan is a happy ellie finally. Life gives us miracles and this is definitely one of those. With the help of CHER and all the crew!! Drs. Caretakers it all happened. What a beautiful thing. God bless you all. ❣

Hi Stacy, we are not aware of this. The Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary is still releasing new updates on Kaavan and the other elephants on a daily basis. You might want to check out their social media channel here > facebook.com/CambodiaWS/. The last update of Kaavan was a mere 3 hours ago.

We understand. At the moment, that's where daily blogs of Kaavan's new life appear though like how Kaavan enjoys wandering at night, which is why he takes mid-afternoon naps. Also, on how the elephants at the moment prefer to not interact: Kaavan is very much happy spending his day roaming the jungle and when the caretakers gave DiPloh and Kaavan a shared fence and shared food last week, both elephants still prefer to be on their own.
