As a South African, I was insulted that she wore cheap clothes and left her engagement ring at home - implying she would get robbed of it imo. And putting out a statement about it didn't was just gross. It's like she was warning the criminals in SA lol. I despised the fact they used my country as a backdrop for their woe is me pity party.

That was the 3rd time poor Bradby was caught unaware and unable to clap back on their nonsense. It was also to Bradby that Harry said "they won't stop until she's dead" Bradby should have said, she hasn't been hounded by papps in England mate, they stopped doing that in 2012. It was Bradby who Mehgan told, "not many asked me if I'm OK". The poor guy has dropped the ball 3 times and could have nipped it in the bud 3 years ago by opening Harry's eyes to his own BS.

I found it strange when Harry spoke of being traumatized by walking behind Diana’s casket in the procession to her funeral. That has been made into such a big deal, when it seems to me that a typical 12-year-old boy would have been _more_ traumatized if told he couldn’t join his brother, father, grandfather and uncle in honoring his mother in this way. He was lovingly being included and treated like a man, and it is so very sad and strange (to me) that he is resentful about it.

I seem to recall at the time that it was Harry who wanted to walk behind Diana's coffin, & it was William who had to be persuaded to do so when their grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, agreed to walk with them. After Diana's death, both the Queen & Prince Phillip did everything they could to emotionally support their two grandsons!

South Africa is one of the most war torn, starving, violent countries in the world. The day she gave that selfish speech she had come from meeting a group of young women learning self defense because the odds of them being raped, gang raped was close to 100%. Some had already been. The goal was to try and avoid being murdered.😢 This is somehow less important than Meghan getting bad press. Also, I LOVE YOU! You have a right to your opinion and your channel is a delight.❤❤❤

For me, one of the most horrid events on this tour was her signing a condolence plaque for a young beautiful African woman who suffered a violent death - she changed clothes for the moment, & before the picture was even published, her clothing & accessories were published on ‘Meghan’s Mirror’ & were already for sale. BTW, David Beckham stood in the queue to pay respects to the late Queen, dressed beautifully yin mourning clothes, with the general public, for 13 hours. I’ve never been a fan of the Beckham’s, but he did it quietly and without fanfare, & earned my respect.

They demand 5-star accommodation in every circumstance, including media coverage, while at the same time demand that we play along with the fantasy that they are mistreated and deserve sympathy. I think it’s perfectly fine and nice that she and some other KZfaqrs address critical comments that they got. It only makes me respect them more. That doesn’t mean we have to agree with the naysayers. Besides, even if Cheere said something I didn’t agree with that would just mean we don’t agree on that particular matter. It’s one thing to debate if it’s important enough. I’m re-watching because I put this on as I was falling asleep after not sleeping, but like an hour and a half all night (totally nothing personal) and so I am first here again watching what exactly happened fully awake. But I just hope nobody was rude to her. because Cheere is pretty much always polite and respectful and intelligent sounding… even when mocking people acting like idiots. Having lived in Cape Town for a number of years, I can tell you that H&M didn't make any difference to the extreme poverty of the black townships. I'll bet she left her ring behind because she feared having it stolen. They were surrounded by heavily armed Police and Military the entire trip. The couple had already tied up their boat at the Oprah harbour. Once in Canada, Oprah got her controversial bestie, Tyler Perry, to offer one of his properties to the duo. In doing so, she had H&M ready for interviews. Oprah had resentment towards the British Royal Family, because she wasn't treated as an icon at the wedding. She and Perry were about to get their revenge. They have destroyed the careers of many young black talent who wouldn't go under Oprah's umbrella. Both Winfrey & Perry demand unquestionable adoration, due to their own percieved inadequacies. Meghan saw Perry as her perfect route to film star status. It didn't happen. Quel surpri.

Oh, I think it was in the works before the wedding. And I don't believe the Canada stop wasn't planned. They already knew they were going back to LA. She knows it's all about perception and Tyler Perry was already consulted. They weren't homeless. They made choices. Why else would they start documenting their freedom flight? They already had the deal.

That’s not the only grudge Oprah carries, she (her staff) asked repeatedly for Diana and were told she didn’t do interviews then did Martin Bashir. Oprah never checked out why and how Bashir showed her made up documents of courtiers discussing the ‘Diana problem’. Charles favorite insults involved Diana’s family instability and that she was as crazy and unbalanced as any of them. It played into her fears she wouldn’t live until she got the divorce. But Oprah felt ‘disrespected’. It’s unfortunate Diana would live to regret participating in both the Morton book and the Bashir interview it would ultimately bring the Queen into the mess to demand the divorce be settled immediately.

The South Africa trip really had it all. 1. Bringing Archie literally for the sole reason of a photo-op with the Archbishop--with the bonus for them of "sticking it" to the British press. 2. Meghan and Archie being there *AT ALL* when Meghan barely worked. Waste of time and money. 3. Bringing Archie for the photo, but not bringing him to the mothers2mothers visit where Nutmeg awkwardly insisted that the moms and babies get on the floor, and then gave them Archie's hand-me-downs. 4. As you nailed it, their refusal to be happy and their ceaseless misery, spiraling, circlejerk habits. This was the moment when I knew once and for all that Harry was truly lost. I've been a royal watcher since 2011. Harry trauma dumping and confirming the tension with William on camera is an unmistakable "No No". A deliberate defiance that I knew *HE KNEW* better. They (The BRF) don't do that. No one should air their dirty laundry like that. But in particular a royal duke and duchess, who constantly bitch about their privacy (when they hear things they don't like), on a working trip representing the monarchy and The UK to some of the most disadvantaged people they've ever met, should really shut up. You're at work! The statement. The lawsuits. "...Am I okay?". They're just such wrecking ball, self-destructive, catastrophizing idiots.

Thank you for the video. As someone who has often visited Nyanga, here referred to as "SA's murder capital," I can attest that a 30-minute car ride is not particularly challenging, especially when accompanied by a security detail, as they would have been. However, I cannot recall any genuine interest or enthusiasm from friends or colleagues regarding this visit, nor have I heard any reports from the public expressing their admiration. If these individuals seek to explore poverty, violence, and disease, I suggest they investigate Scotland, San Francisco, or even downtown LA as their next destination. The lack of awareness demonstrated here is truly astonishing. Africa should not be treated as a backdrop for personal dramas of the internationally privileged.

I think moral clarity is in short supply these days. I applaud your clear-eyed look. As for torturing torturers, we must remember the old saying, “when you look into the abyss, the abyss is looking back at you.” What is the point of doing good if you lose your humanity along the way?

I thought your last episode put things into context, it explained markles standards and understanding of life, it showed her for the idiot she is, it was different, perhaps not so entertaining, sometimes the enormity of markles stupidity, when you think of the great opportunities she is passing by, the good she could be doing, it’s sad and grounding, without doubt she will be the subject of many dissertations in the years to come Keep going, I think you’re doing a great job, 👏 👏👏

I agree with your comments regarding Bower assuming William and Catherine were somehow not as attractive or shiny as the gruesome twosome. Although, believe it or not, I was initially not against H & M ( I now despise them) because I wasn't following them closely, it always seemed to me that William and Catherine were the better looking, more graceful and obviously more relevant couple. It was clear H & M were getting a lot of attention just because their story had some appeal and they were a newly minted royal couple, but they were not outshining the real royal couple...Kate and William.

Love you for your sense of humor that gives me SO many belly laughs.. that English voice you have for H is so damn funny…. And speaking of Megan, calling him H, she calls, and H because she can’t stand the name Harry. I knew a woman that would not call her new husband to be fried so she called him by his middle name which was John and nobody called him John nobody ever knew who she was talking about but it was simply because she couldn’t stand the mean Fred so I know this is why she calls him H.

When MM said that the British stiff upper lip was probably 'damaging internally', I didn't know whether to laugh or to be astonished. It was amusing because even then she couldn't make up her mind if she was a 'strong independent woman' who, in all likelihood, would need to be resolute and determined in the face of adversity rather than giving into emotion, or the person who is upset if you don't ask her if she's OK. At the same time I found her comment so tone deaf. What she appeared to be insinuating was that tens of millions of Brits were trotting about with internal mental damage. 😄 After the Africa tour, H & M wheeled out Tom Bradby to issue what I thought was a thinly veiled threat to the RF. He spoke to the Daily Mail and in that article warned that the couple could do a tell-all interview. Now that we have the benefit of hindsight, the Sussexes and Oprah probably had that interview already lined up. I wonder how it would have gone if the Queen had allowed them the half-in, half-out status that they wanted? My theory is that their vendetta against the RF is because she said "no" to that demand. If she hadn't, the Susssexes would have full IPP status and, because they would be seen as the Queen's representatives overseas, diplomacy would have required the US and elsewhere to accord them the same status as William and Catherine. They probably would have had red carpet treatment, while their mailboxes could be stuffed with invitations from all the right people and organisations. I don't think many realise just how the Queen pulled the rug out from under their feet when she said "no".

We love you! A suggestion from somebody who has been online since the early 90s, (me) before there was a web: don’t show weakness. Never complain, never explain! The more you explain negative comments or even touch on them, the more they will happen. Just be yourself. Most will understand where you are coming from and those who don’t, well , they can unsub. Or they can keep up in comments, but don’t address it. If you start arguing, you will damage your channel. ❤

Cheere I have to say that I personally actually loved the last chapter you read, the thing that I absolutely adore about your channel is that you do elaborate, you dig further into the context then just the written words on the pages, you actually offer education along with your reading and I am so grateful for that. I learnt so much that I didn’t know in the last chapter. I actually commented about the poachers and said virtually what you just said, you don’t torture someone because they torture others, because by doing that, you are then just as bad as they are, you educate the poachers so they stop what they are doing. Please ignore anyone who is leaving you horrible comments, this is your channel, not theirs and it’s not like your forcing them to watch. It makes me so upset when people think it’s ok to leave nasty comments, it’s not ok, the best gift we can give each other in this big wide world is kindness. Just like the good old saying my parents use to tell my sibling and I when we were growing up and the same advice I gave my children when they were growing up too “if you don’t have something nice to say to someone, then don’t say anything at all” Please definitely keep elaborating on things while you read the books in our wonderful little book club here, I think it’s wonderful and knowledge is another gift just like kindness is, we are all so very lucky that you share your knowledge with us all. Thank you sweetie ❤🥰❤️

The point of leaving the expensive ring at home is so that it doesn't get stolen in SA. Living in SA I can totally understand the sentiment, although this fact could have stayed under wraps. At best it is insulting to suggest that, as heavily guarded as they were here, those poor people who received them with the best they possessed, would have stolen her ring. It still irks me when I see pictures of the Harkles eyeing the SA delicasies that had been served to them at these meetings as if they were too high and mighty to eat it. South Africans love sweet things and these hostesses would have served the royal couple with the best they had (koeksisters, milktart), using their best crockery. I saw those photos and winced inwardly. The Harkles looked as if they had been served mopani worms.

I listened to your opening comments with interest and surprise. The backgrounds on the women chosen for the Vogue issue was news to some and a helpful review for others, but definitely highlighted several poor choices and that once again another Markle effort had skated through without scrutiny. Isn't the whole point of a channel like this to provide back stories, insight and a point of view? I, like many here, appreciate your take on the books chosen, the voices that are used and the comments and perspectives that are interjected in your videos. For those not interested in the 'extras' you provide, perhaps a regular audio book would better accommodate their needs. For the rest of us, keep up the great work!! Oh my gosh, such a good episode! I have so many thoughts, but mainly that they’re both unhinged! Im in uk and dont read tabloids but know everyone takes them with a pinch of salt. I heard no racism towards her. I remember the interview with TB & turned to my husband and said WTF?! With a glint in her eye & a smug kind of smile, her words didn’t match her body language. it was baffling to why she was on the news complaining that no one asked if she was ok, was she really so fragile? Throwing her toys out the pram so publicly, embarrassing the RF by behaving like that. It was obviously planned so just came across as catty & deliberate. It was clear at this point they were going rogue and had no class. Also, rather than insulting the Beckhams, they could have done with listening to their advice about how to survive with your family in the limelight but still maintain privacy and discretion!

Maybe Tom Bower is remembering the brief 9 months when Catherine was pregnant with Louie - which coincided with Harry & Meghan’s engagement & wedding? Catherine is an absolutely beautiful pregnant woman always, but thanks to the natural changes as well as her well-known life-threatening illness during pregnancy, she happened to look a little tired and obviously heavier than Meghan. I’ve always believed it went to the narcissist’s head to come out on the world stage looking her best exactly when Catherine was in that very particular stage. She thought she would always be superior in the glamour & looks - it was extremely short-lived & she couldn’t stand it!

Calling someone out on the standards by which they purport to live either as critique of hypocrisy or a more likely lack of any work in understanding the real life and value of an individual as an exemplar is not a problem, Cheere Denise. Please don't shy away from digressions that's one of the most appealing aspects of your commentary. Btw, I'm not original in pointing out that Meghan seems perpetually stuck in the 90s. People shouldn’t have to tell you their positive traits. If you’ll notice Princess Catherine never says “I’m a genuinely caring person and I enjoy meeting the public.” We can *SEE* these traits in her demeanor. And Charles doesn’t tell us he’s affable and intellectual. These traits shine through. So the more Meghan tells us what an amazing little ball of sunshine she is the less I’m inclined to believe her.
