Reversal Trading With Order Flow Webinar Investor Expos Orderflows Trader For NinjaTrader 8 replay.
Today I did a presentation with Investor Expos where I discussed two different order flow setups based on market imbalances to spot market reversals.
The main benefit of using order flow is it allows you to see things other traders are not paying attention to so you can gain an edge in your trading.
Order flow is market generated information and is the best tool for day traders and scalpers.

You have to analyze the delta at each price level at a given interval, the total delta calculated for each interval is going to be outdated which is why traditional footprint charts don't work for most people because whats already executed is not going to give you an edge in high speed trading. But if you are creative you'll rig your footprint to compute the delta at each price level, the footprint with high +ve delta above the poc is going to tell you there is going to be an upward momentum in the market provided there isn't enough liquidity.

I have watched many of your videos, but I'm bit confused about chart type that should be used. For ES i have seen that you used minute chart, 30 second chart, range chart, 1000 tick chart, 5000 volume chart. Why that incosistency? Are the orderflows software users expected to switch between different chart types all the time? Are this rules of switching beetween chart types described in some kind of manual?

You are looking at it wrong. I get messages all the time from traders that go something like this "I use a 233 tick chart on this" or "will it work on a 5000 volume chart?" or "I use a 1-minute chart" and it the list goes on and on. I try to show that a trader can apply order flow analysis to just about any chart type or time frame. It is not about switching charts and time frames, stick to the chart type that works best for you, but that said I know many traders do watch different chart types and time durations of the same contract. They may have a 30-second, 1-minute, 5-minute, 987 tick chart, 5000 volume chart all open for the ES for example.

If only it were that simple. For example, 25mins into the video you show a 5000cv bar with 6 sell imbalances. Where to sell? Break of bar? Pull back? Well, if you sold break of bar, then price moved against you 6 whole pts before coming your way! if you're trying to scalp of say 2 - 4 pts, then letting price move against you 6 pts initially is not a good strategy. Footprint charts are just one piece of the puzzle. You need to look at order flow say in a good quality DOM like the Jigsaw DOM for your entry after a footprint chart showed you a potential move - for example.
