Always enjoying a good reverse reverb shootout !! I like every form of it. But the Polara is one of the best for me. Nice smooth rack like algorythm, clear sound with transparency for dirt, true bypass in case of difficult fuzzes after it,.... . They were really cheap some years ago . Lovely pedal.

Thanks for your comment and thoughts! Indeed, it’s a lovely reverb pedal. Unfortunately the price has rised after it’s been discontinued. @DigiTechFX should relaunch the Polara or Hardwire RV-7.

The knob position overlay is a great idea. First time I've seen/heard such a comparison of reverse reverbs. Nice job!

You’re welcome! My choice is Polara. I really love its reverse mode (basically I only use Reverse and Mod on it). It sounds similar to Alesis Guitar FX, but without the hiss: Digitech Polara vs Alesis GuitarFX Reverse Reverb kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f950mtdoxq_LaGw.html I also use Oceans 11 on my pedalboard: it has several modes that I like: tremolo, chorus, flanger etc. And I’m using Holy Grail (Plate mode) for the vocals. It does a great job too. PS: a great pedal I got yesterday is M-Vave Mini Universe. It has very nice reverbs and it does 100% wet. I’m still testing it, but it looks like it gets a bit close to the Polara’s reverse.

It does, but don’t expect the sound quality of a Polara or EHX OE and HG Max.

@@marceloBAdARIwhich mode on the m-vave is ”reverse”? I’ve only seen a couple of demos, so i haven’t tried it out myself. I was actually about to buy the oceans 11, but given your video, it is no longer an option. I’ve also been thinking about getting a mooer r7 x2, which seems to have a reasonable reverse mode. Tried it?

@@wenelius I believe it’s Cloud or Bloom, I’m not sure… I got the pedal just for a few days then sold it. The Mooer R7 X2 I’ve never tried. PS: If I didn’t have any reverse reverb pedal I would stick with the Mini Universe

Which one do you think gets the best MBV 'glider' sound?

All of them do a great job (combined, of course, with the guitar whammy bar bending). The biggest difference between them you should have in mind is that Polara cuts the guitar dry signal completely.

@@marceloBAdARI curious to know how the Mooer R7 compares, a cheaper option to the exh which i am.consodering. I need a portable replacement to my SPX90. Still surpised there is no decent clone of the spx90 'reverse/gate' swoon sound
