Summer depression (reverse sad, or R-SAD) is real. I've been this way as long as I can remember. I'm so happy when summer is OVER.

Been dealing with this since May started with the days getting longer. It's that billion watt light bulb in the sky shining for 16 hours a day that turns me from this happy, calm, outgoing, relaxed, level-headed woman during winter...into this weeping, agitated, anxious, unmotivated, insomniac, with no appetite during summer!! Happens like clockwork from mid-May until mid-October. I hate that they call it Reverse SAD, as if only the winter version is authentic.

@@wk1810 Agreed! Adding the word "reverse" to something that already exists makes it seem... less serious.

From Southern Ontario Canada: I detest summer, sun, heat, humidity, (we get heat in the 90's in summer), & the longer daylight hours. Love big, dark shades of clouds in the sky, no sun, dark earlier, cold (nothing over 40 degrees). A dark cloudy day brings a peaceful, calm feeling.

No more looking forward to cooler months when I live here in California. It’s always going to stay warm all year round.
