7:53 - The majority of RTS games HAVE escort missions. Even the classic WarCraft and StarCraft games (praised as the greatest in their genre) had numerous escort missions.

I know it's a very late comment, but I actually disagree with this review. I agree that the first soviet mission is a bit crap, and the story's nothing too exciting, especially the Yuriko campaign, but the game released for $15. Having 13 missions in the campaigns is pretty good for that price IMO. You're also putting far too little thought into the Commanders Challenge, which is similar to Generals, but not really. The challenge is 50 skirmish matches, but each one has a twist. For example, one has satellite debris falling from the sky at all times all over the place, another has two Empire forces that attack each other until you intevene, another has the Allies use dozens of spies. When you beat a mission, you unlock a specific unit for one of the factions, and you can select any faction for each mission. There's not really much story outside of a few cutscenes here and there, but there's a hell of a lot of content, and if you beat all 50, plus the campaigns, I'd say there's about 20-30 hours of content here, which is stupidly good for $15 IMO.

I actually liked the first soviet mission. But then again, I tend to like the "dungeon crawler" missions due to the need to utilize more strategies. Sort of like a lot of the Nod campaign missions in Tiberian Sun. Rather than the missions where it's just "BUILD BASE. KILL KRUSH'N DESTROY."

i thought you would put just a black screen on this one and rant about how bad it is. Props for taking the time to play,record and do a review for it.

Got this on Steam for a fraction of its original price. Bought this only for the skirmish.

Considering you didn't talk about the ''Commanders Challenge'' game mode and fluffed over the skirmish mode this isn't a very good review.

A little late to the party here, two things that I found awesome about this game: new soundtracks (especially the Soviet one) and new Allied units + Giga fortress.

Hi , now you have to wait to upgrade super magnetic satellite to beam an aircraft carrier . I found the shocking revelation while playing Sigma chapter but since the Soviets lost in the first game allies control the space stations

Ric Flair was actually the best part of this expansion, if you can believe that...WOOO!!

Thanks nice review, both Red Alert 3 and Uprising are priced 30EUR each now, on Steam. I was considering on buying Uprising as well, but this settles it.

I've been watching your reviews on the command and conquers series and my conclusion is your reviews are pretty much biased and negative. Kind of sick that you always say reskined this and corny cut scenes not in line with the current RTS from that time blah blah blah. I'm not only talking about Red Alert but also the tiberium universe and you miss mentioning thing like Epic units in Kanes wrath.

i give the game a 3 out of 10. this game is sooo difficult and the challenges are only winnable with rushing

Honestly this dls was a appointment and pure shit i just act like it never fucking existed personally i would have liked it more if they at least expanded in every faction according to their perspective ending instead of just saying the allies won deal with it.The missions are difficult but doable and once your finished the game has nothing else to offer.If red alert 3 was a pie that is with few ingredients but just enough sustenance to be half enjoyable then uprising is ingredients put together hastily in the oven for a few minutes and is just a bunch of disgusting under cooked ingredients and lost potential.I don't know why i used an analogy about cooking pie when talking about this game but i would have liked if this two games had longer stories.

Uprising campaign is superior to RA3 i hated the co commander

I liked your previous reviews, but this one was pretty sloppy and, even worse, BIASED. You focus way too much on your *personal* misgivings with the game, ignoring many of its important aspects (the Commander's Challenge feature, especially).
