Final verdict: 8/10. Affordable and value oriented model locomotive with some sacrifices to detail. Minor issues with build quality and performance. Overall a decent representation of the NS high hood EMD SD40.

Great review. Liked and subscribed. Would say it looks like the drive line was upgraded from the 30y motor design, but I still agree with your review. Thanks for taking the shell off.

Great review, honest and to the point. As for details there's a few others missing on this particular model. Short hood horn should be a P3, missing second firecracker antenna, missing small sinclair antenna, missing second engine room vent between exhaust and dynamic brake fans. Otherwise still a good model for the money.
