Everybody needs a good foundation (tinted moisturizer just doesn't cut it in my book). It needs to even out your complexion, cover up minor "challenges" and not look like a mask. FACEatelier Ultra Foundation does all of the above, plus a few other nifty tricks, quickly and easily.
The silicone based formula creates a flexible cushion of pigments that float on the skin's surface and don't settle into fine lines and won't clog pores. You can layer it for additional coverage, so it eliminates the need for a separate concealer. They also make a lightener and darkener (Zero Minus & Zero Plus Plus) so you can fine tune your shade or create a custom highlight or contour colors. Did I mention it has a built-in primer...so the lazy ones in the group can skip a step. That's one busy bottle of foundation.

Would have been more helpful if we'd have been able to see anything at all. If you take a teenager with perfect skin and no issues (not even a hint of undereye darkness!), and combine that with bright studio lights that take out any shadow or imperfection if there even was such a thing on such a young model and all you get is what looks and sounds like one big sales pitch - and nobody saw any makeup to speak of on the models skin. The only close up was on your hand. How on earth can we tell how great it looks on the skin (which is of course all we really care about)? When you have the ability/funds/ and clearly a cameraman this all seems hard to understand from the consumers point of view, unless you are sponsored by the brands and indeed are a salesperson.

Informative video, thanks! I've heard this foundation is best on it's own, don't over-moisturize (what about SPF?) and powder to set isn't necessary. That sounds a little tricky if you are over 50 (I'm 52). Any tips? FYI, I agree, good quality skin products are worth every penny, skin care is the same. Always good to utilize a skin care regime with antioxidants, retinols and a good quality sunscreen paired with good diet and exercise to help us look younger for longer.

Can you re-do this now? Maybe an update since it’s been so long? I’d love to see this up close on someone with more skin concerns. You do great, but I couldn’t see anything sadly.

Awesome tips. I have been trying different techniques with FACEatelier Ultra Foundations. I enjoy using Heat to bring up some color on the cheeks. Thanks for sharing your wisdom.

Thanks for sharing. I just foundout about you a week ago on Model Mayhem. You have so many great tips.... I wish I lived in the US, you have so many good products that we don't have back here (Europe, the Netherlands) But I really love al your tips and will use them! You do have a new fan :-)

Love your personality! Such a fun demo video with great tips as always! I definitely need this in my collection for my textural issues, my MUFE F&B is also a little too dewy for me in the summer time. Read your blog for a while now and would love to see more videos, especially on achieving the perfect base :) my textured, flaky cheeks would really appreciate it 😮 #allaboutthatbase

This is not a good video as it had to much lighting and it was zoomed out. When you zoomed it the colour was changed and you only zoomed in for a few seconds.. Such a shame!

Hi, you said in your video that this foundation mix well with other silicone base,wax based and oil based foundations. My question is that if the first ingredient is water /aqua and second cyclopentasiloxane what would be the base of that foundation I have smash box skin foundation, mufe hd, mac prolongwear all of them more or less same ingredients. I just hope u answer my question . Thanks

Face Atelier is a water-silicone emulsion much like, MUFE HD or Face and Body... a LOT of foundations. You'd probably be hard-pressed to find a purely water-based foundation these days.

This was an awesome review/demonstration! I just received my samples in the mail and am excited to experiment with them! I purchased samples of zero minus, #11 mink, #12 sable, zero plus plus and heat. I am darker than #12, but lighter than 0++. Makeup Forever HD Foundation #185 disappears into my skin when I do a swatch on my jaw but seems a bit "ashy" when applied all over. Any input would be appreciated. Also, other than using heat as a blush, do you have any tips?

Not much of a challenge using a young beautiful woman with perfect skin having said that It would be nicer to see you use older women with aging skin problems like dark circus, smile lines crowfeet etc or is this foundation just for young beautiful girls with zero flaws?
