Review of my A4 Roterfaden Taschengebleiter dark brown leather notebook

Hi guys,
in this video I will show you in details an amazon A4 Dark Brown Roterfaden Leather notebook which I use at work as a teacher.
It is one of the most gorgeous leathers I have seen so far, very soft and pliable but stiff enough thanks to the notebooks inside and the felt interior. I chose the color magnolia for the interior design and the configuration n°5.
I created this thanks to the Roterfaden Konfigurator which you can find on the following page: www.roterfaden.de/en/All-ROTER...
Roterfaden is a small German company and these are all made on demand when you order. Every piece of material comes from Europe and their clip system (which rock) are build in Bavaria.
A Taschengebleiter is a "companion" and if Roterfaden means the same as in French then it is a red thread that you can follow to stay focused. Their notebook inserts all display this red thread and are very simple in design and inexpensive. Now this one works really nice for me as a teacher.

Is it safe to assume that the clip system would work with any kind of stitched notebook? Enjoyed the video, as usual. (Also, I'm using the Supaclips on a regular basis.)

I’ve just purchased a Taschengebleiter and cannot wait to get it. I’ve ordered a Clarefontaine age bag threadbound notebook. My question is do you remove the cover of the notebook or leave it?

I'm not sure what you are referring to but if it's what I have in mind then no. The taschengebleiter is a generous notebook cover. You probably won't need to remove the cover.

Hi. Thanks for your video. I’m a college professor and PhD candidate. I carry several notebooks of various sizes and tons of notes and scraps of paper. My first question is have you used the Roterfaden teacher calendar? My other question is that I have an A4 taschenbegleiter on the way but I use the Rhodia goal book which is an A5 size soft cover. Have you used the clip system with smaller A5 notebooks in the A4 taschenbegleiter?

I must admit I have never tried. I suppose the idea of a bump on the cover would not be to my liking (the elastic inside the A4 already leaves traces on the leather). I really love the A4 size for my work as a school teacher despite the heaviness. Last week the kids were eyeing it. Does the Rhodia goal book fit in the A5 comfortably? Sounds like a pretty neat idea.

John Sparegrave the Rhodia goalbook is itself a planner. It’s a soft cover as opposed to hard cover. It’s like a bullet journal. I currently have it in my Roterfaden A5 and it works wonderfully but this is a teaching semester for me and I want to trim down what I’m carrying so I am hoping to put the Rhodia in the A4 along with my other teaching paperwork. The problem may be that it could leave an A5 imprint in the leather!

I know, it is my planner ;) ... Since the inside elastic leaves an imprint, I believe an A5 bump inside the A4 would.
