This is on my wishlist, my dream goal is to have an armory of long range rifles! They're my favorite style, my favorite calibers and my favorite type of shots. For me nothing is better than watching that bullet travel and hearing that clear ding of the metal with successful back to back shots and add a bolt action to it and I'm sold! Everything I want in a rifle!

I just finished my AR-15 6mm ARC build with a 22" barrel. I queried if there were receivers that would accept my AR barrel, and behold. If I start eating AR bolts I was thinking that this would be an excellent option to swap the AR minus the receiver on to. As Wayne would say "Most excellent!"

I will repeat this, I had already built an AR/6.5CM 24” BSF carbon fiber 24” barrel upper receiver, I saw the Uintah Precision bolt action AR had to have it; it is worth every penny! It was LOVE IT first sight!

Can the barrel and handguard be easily swap out?

Barrels attach just like an AR barrel, though they are not AR barrels. We use a 3 lug bolt, so the extension nut is different. We do sell "drop-in" ready barrels though. Handguards are end user changeable. Most aftermarket handguards are compatible.

I just built an Aero Precision semi auto in 6.5 CM. Great gun but hard to stay on target with the bolt/buffer sequence. I was researching the precision bolt action options when I ran across this. I will purchase soon. Can the barrel/action be purchased without the hand guard?

The intended purpose of our uppers is to bring bolt gun accuracy to the most popular platform in the United States. Increased accuracy from tight bolt gun tolerances, as well as from the crossover of muscle memory and training. Then you have the modularity of the AR...grips, handguards, mounting options for accessories. It is also a good option for those getting into long range shooting but don't want to spend the 5k+ for a traditional custom barreled action, chassis and scope. For those in restrictive gun states/areas, they help with compliance issues.

It looks like it mounts just like any other AR10/15 style upper.

We do sell receiver sets, but standard AR barrels are not a direct drop in option, which is why most people inquire. There is some machining/gunsmithing involved to make that happen.

Would this work on the Fightlite SCR lower? Does the bolt use the buffer tube space at all?

Nam, thank you for your interest! The bolt extends about 1" in to the buffer tube, so unfortunately it will not function on an SCR lower.

Hi, interesting product, looking at getting into 6.5 creed and deciding between this and a standard semi upper. Curious the moa accuracy potential of this upper vs an auto upper with match barrel. Probably can eek out a little more with handloads and neck sizing/shoulder bump than what is possible for reliable feeding/chambering in a semi- for 6.5 creed handloads? What kind of moa groups are you seeing with this upper? Thanks

Trevor, thank you for your interest. We have an MOA guarantee. However, our guns easily shoot sub-moa with quality match ammo. It is common for our 6.5 Creeds to shoot better than 1/2 moa with factory ammo. If you checkout our Facebook page or our Instagram you will find pics of user submitted groups. Something to note that has changed since this video was filmed is that ALL barrels are now 416R stainless match barrels from Preferred Barrel blanks, except our offerings that use Proof Research carbon fiber barrels. We no longer offer/use Shilen barrels.

...in addition, West Desert Shooter has done quite a few videos using our uppers that you may want to check out. Also, Gavin over at the "Ultimate Reloader" shoots one of our 6.5 Creeds for groups in a KZfaq video review that may be of some help.
