Traveled on TK 787 dreamliner from.Panama to Istanbul, business class, round trip , and it was a great experience. Great food and impecable service. As you mentioned the seat being too narrow, but not being a big guy, it was very comfortable. The new airport is extremely big, however, the business class lounge is superb and extraordinary. The drawback is the long distance you have to walk to get to your gate, and the lengthy taxying for the plane to take off. Other than that Turkish Airline is one of the best.

Thanks Josh for another awesome video! I liked How private the new seats seemed and how quiet the 787-9 are. But I'm over 6'1 and think i'd hate sleeping in that new seat :( I almost switched my Turkish air flight in Sept. to one with their new 787-9 just to check it out. But now i'm kind of glad "in a way" that I didn't since it's an over night flight and I value my sleep lol! Keep up the great work!

Great Video I realy like THY I fly next week for the third time in this year on THY. I hope I will get the chance too to fly on their B787 domestic but the A330 is also very nice 😁

I LOVED Turkish Airlines, the crew was nice, very accommodating, clean, great food, and the entertainment system was created for anybody to use. I would fly them again and again.

I've flown on this seat a couple of times with SQ and was thankful they were only 6-hour flights within Asia, your very right Josh sleep is not easy in these seats.

As a nervous flyer I always feel at ease flying Turkish Airlines. Those cameras are on many TK planes, they help me a lot as I always feel caged and smothered and I have seen extremely spacious business class seats on TK (I don't know the model). Other than that, the insanely kind and smiling crew members and the food comfort me a lot on any TK flight.

Hey Josh! Nice video, I'm glad you liked the new 787! Just a quick note: The taxiing time is around 30 minutes in the new airport due to the two currently operating runways being on the opposite end of the terminal from the domestic gates. That's why you had to go around the whole terminal on your Antalya flight. When the third runway, which is on the domestic side of the airport, opens hopefully next year, the domestic flights will be able to use it. This way taxiing times will be shorter with domestic and international flights using the runways closer to them.

Love the Turkish airlines 787 Dreamliner from Bogotá to Istanbul, have done this 16 hours route a few times and is always an amazing journey, the food, drinks, entertainment, the crew (sometimes), etc. If you haven’t done it, think about doing it sometime... ❤️🇹🇷✈️

Not sure if I missed it Josh but is there a privacy screen between the seats in the middle ? I would want one...unless I was sitting next to Miss World 2019 !! As you would know and mentioned Josh, aircraft burn a fair bit of fuel when taxiing for take off so it does not seem to make sense...especially for ultra long haul flights?? Gee your next door neighbour looked really happy as you were enjoying the tea!! What about Turkish coffee ?? Not overly impressed with the seat...I like to sleep on my side and the number of times I have flown Business Class and cannot do so because of the foot well...uuughhh Malaysian A 330 is a good example so often I just almost recline the seat but not fully and seem to be able to sleep!! Well done mate and I agree with what you had to report. You would think Turkish would send some of their people on similar aircraft with other carriers and do their "own" report on what worked and what didn't and go from there!! Anyway looking forward to our next trip!!

Agree, that cabin looks classy, really nice use of subtle and well balanced colours/materials... such a shame it's so cramped, was really hoping this hard product would finally align with Turkish excellent soft offering. Seems they have a way to go... and as for the 400 lives lost, no matter how impressive Istanbul new airport (and from your vlog shots new IST seems incredible) I couldn't travel thro without a heavy heart for all those family and friends that lost loved ones... sorry but seems like too heavy a price to pay.

Sometimes I like to scroll down reading comments from the viewers. Damn some of the contents were really focusing on Josh himself rather the products.

One thing that I fail to understand: For an airport ready to handle 150MM passengers a year, even at the beginning of the journey, puts plane on a bus gates? Do they not have enough Jet Bridges built in that airport???

I flow 3 years ago to Bali on business class. It is very claustrophobic and the middle seats were shaking a lot !!! The bed isnt totaly flat and not enought large 🥴 Few months ago, i flow to Cancun, 18 hours flight! Turkish made few changes on the seats. Better fixed, so not shaky. And the bed is a little bit larger but not enought!!! i still miss the large b777 or a330 real flat, large and comfortable seats 😪 The catering and the lounge in istanbul 8 stars 😍🔥

Indeed you're right when you mentioned about how tight the seat and footwell is. Singapore Airlines also operate this new cabin on their B787-10s and A350s (like what you mentioned), but market it as a regional business product so I won't expect it to be really spacious. By the way, I heard the 'cocoon' shell of these seats are noise-cancelling. I wonder if you did experience this on your flight?

Hi Josh. I flew the Dreamliner also yesterday on the afternoon flight and I have the same opinion like you. Furthermore I have to say that the limited storage space of the seat is slightly disappointing as well as the useage of Low quality materials for the surface of the seat ( the storage area and the Cocktail tray)

Taxing is known to be a major fuel consumption factor for airlines. I heard that some were thinking to have a pull back truck do the taxing or something like that. it would save a lot of fuel & cut massive fuel costs for airlines.

I wish you would have shown/talked more about the food. Love your videos though.

just flew through the new Istanbul airport in late April - right after they just opened it. Very long walks and it gets tiring after a while, even if you workout on a daily basis. If you have people with mobility issues, then its very difficult and there is a long wait plus no clear communication/system to access wheelchairs. When we went, there were TONS of people transferring and only one security area open. The business class lounges are nice and spacious but two issues: 1) there are TONS of people and again there's no real system of order in any of the lounges, it just seems like controlled chaos; 2) there are multiple lounges throughout the airport that all look the same so if you are meeting your party at the business class lounge, you have to specify which one as they all look exactly the same (they are based on which one is closest to your gate, but gates keep changing often).

I have flown twice into the new Istanbul airport and taxiing both times was 30 mins! Ridiculous. The distance you have to walk through the terminal is something else also!

On an inaugural flight like this, of course everything will be clean and functioning. We can only hope that Turkish Airlines will maintain the plane well. Some people pay for Business Class for roomier seats, so I guess they'd be disappointed. It's good to know that they are known for good food and service.

love the new cabin especially the recessed lights/controls on the divider wall like that. The footwell does look a little tight however. I enjoy your reviews but personally would love to see the menus more clearly & for a little longer, am always interested in what food is being served. Dennis Bunnik & The Luxury Travel Expert do this very well...

Still scheduled for the 787 in December (business) but already changed aircraft 2 time (A350 and 777) w'll see

About the distance from Terminal to runway.. There are few explanations about that.... But the fuel used is not that much, no worries.

That is Singapore Airlines Regional business class. They wouldn't use that in long haul which Istanbul to Bali would be...so it is effectively 2nd tier quality for long haul

Did you checked the Emirates B. Class ? Or have you been to Dubai airport? I highly recommend it. It’s different standard that you can’t find any Where els

You know, in Turkey, we always keep motto of treating guests like VIP friends. Turkish Airlines reflect that.

I don’t think there is anyone who audits or describes the Passenger experience as well as you do. You also select very unique and specialty Airlines on your Chanel.
