I have one & used it on my kayak. Worked great. Used the same Windpaddle Sail on my canoe. Impressive downwind capabilities.

If you were wearing your PFD ! :) you can clip it to that , then you are hands free and use your oar to steer , just a thought , good vid , Thanks :)

My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. kzfaq.infoUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!

had mine for a few years and its well worth the money. I've got the 2015 outback and this makes those long peddles back to shore from btb more relaxing with a nice breeze taking me home

Check out Falcon kayak sails. Super nice and can sail most wind angles. I set the sail and troll.

I run my paddle through the cable on mine so I can steer. I just break to turn.

Cool IDEA>. there PRICE is insane! really almost 200 bucks!!! Thay could of started something great.. 50 bucks a pop! would of been the smart way to get a handle of this market... Would of made Millions... SO THAY FAIL.

They don't make this joke of a sail but they do sell a REAL sail that mounts to a REAL Hobie Kayak. Sounds to me someone is bitter they can't afford a quality boat? Please feel free to go ahead and complain how over priced quality costs...

@@ChristopherBartnik Considering I own a hobie pro angler 14, the whole sail kit, and outriggers for my kayak not bitter about anything, it was a joke hence the lol face. Sorry you didn't get the joke but you being dense doesn't equate me being bitter. You can even see me on my kayak on my channel. I wish you well be blessed and be better.

Def of sailing: Sailing comprises wind propulsion of a craft by means of sails or other airfoils and steering it over water, ice or land, depending on the type of craft..

Downwind sailing may not really involve the use of an airfoil but it is still sailing. In fact the most effective downwind sail on a sailboat is a big cheesy roundish thing called a Spinnaker that works the same way this does. For anyone who doesn't want to go to the trouble of a centreboard/rudder, this seems like a useful enough bit of kayaking kit to me.
