Revisit of the Closed ShopRite in Wayne, NJ

I first filmed this closed ShopRite back in November 2021. This one closed down in October 2021. They have removed the entire interior facade of the store and all that remains are the columns inside the building as well as the loading docks. Looks like this place is gonna turn into a different retailer in the near future.

@@TimurD1905 , yep / Also good ole days of TV : Saturday morning cartoons block “ on CBS , ABC , FOX - Fox Kids , Kids WB -WB Network channel & UPN Kids with also Disney afternoon block “ * Also old Nickelodeon , old Cartoon Network in 1990’s / Disney channel mid 1990’s - when it came include of cable. ( with old TV shows from 1950’s thru 1970’s on Nick at Nite , Original TBS back in the day / original TV Land )

I remember going to that shoprite as a kid and the wendys too. I used to rent tapes there. I'm pretty sure I first saw Puppetmaster from the VHS rentals from that store.

They used to have Redbox too I believe in some ShopRite locations. I remember, because I used to work in the Morris Plains ShopRite years ago and now it's a Giuseppe Marketplace

My sister lives around the corner That store was opened about 1988 or so. The company built a new bigger Shoprite up at Wayne Hills mall.

Yeah I saw the new ShopRite, right where the former Wayne Hills Mall used to be at. I wish I had filmed way before and checked out that abandoned mall, that would have been a cool discovery!

I just did a Google street view, it looks like ShopRite was open back then, and the flag you can clearly see. Yes Google street view shows a sign saying Plaza Square

You're right. When you search for ShopRite Wayne, NJ in Google Maps, it only shows the new one. The new ShopRite by the Burlington used to be the former Wayne Hills Mall that closed down in 2015 and was demolished for the new ShopRite. Kmart and Toys R Us are still abandoned there btw

The roof of the Hazlet Bradley's has failed and walking around the outside of the building you get a strong whiff of the black mold. There is nothing left to save, and the cleanup will be super expensive

@@TimurD1905 currently, with strong odor, no adventurer will go into this Bradley's. Also the means of egress' have been boarded up The last video of anyone walking through was published 9 years ago. If the roof was maintained, this building would still be usable By then Hazlet made the owners take Foodtown down. This lot is a weird shape, the building is unusable and there is still an active farm next to it.
