Once in a creative Pit wanna be i put a drum mag on the gatekeeper and just DECIMATED people. I could easily 2 tap people( and there was reload on elimination) . The best part of the gatekeeper is how the damage incrises as you get closer and the range. It would do 70 damage from 10 meter and after 3 meters it would jump on 189 or even 200+

My favourite thing with the charge shotgun was in its final appearance in Chapter 2 Season 8 as a sidegrade weapon. I'd get to the final circles and every time I'd eliminate someone, I'd sidegrade their shotgun just in case someone wanted to loot them after I'd left. I miss that thing so much, there was no other shotgun like it

In terms of the worst shotguns, I’d probably put: - Hammer Pump Shotgun - Makeshift (Kind of a given) - Wood Stake (Basically a worse Chapter 4 Heavy Shotgun) - Dragon’s Breath (even though I love it) - Auto Shotgun (Chapter 3)

The tac shotgun is old reliable especially before it’s first removal I remember once it was removed everyone was upset as it had been a staple of the loot pool and I remember people didn’t like the combat at first due to it replacing the pump but then everyone loved it

Sharp tooth should have been on here. It was a pump with slightly less damage but wayyyy better range. It fit my “build way above the opponent” play style perfectly

Who remembers when the gold tacs used to do sth like 195 headshot damage back when they were still new in Chapter 1? That was insane and I still remember how I got absolutely deleted in one arena game (S9 or SX) by a dude who just jumped at me and 2 tapped me before I could even register what happened. I agree with everything here but the tac and charge.Look, I loved it back when I was bad and couldn’t hit shots, but it came back in Fortnite OG and I’m like “this sucks.” It was doing max 69 damage it seemed like and I literally would hit for 13 twice in a row. And I have pretty good aim with a shotgun. The purple and gold were pretty busted though with the tighter spread. Also, the charge is just too clunky

The charge shotgun was easily one of the worst shotgun ever, due to the fact that during the entire season, switch players couldn’t use it because the the game would lag out, and it wouldn’t fire the shotgun

i disagree with a few things, during FNCS in C2S2 the Heisted Breacher was extremely OP due to its structure damage and in fact was used half the time over the Havoc Pump, same with the Heisted Accelerant so Heisted Breacher should’ve been up here another is the Tactical and Charge Shotguns, their way too weak compared to the other shotguns on this list and the Tactical has such a long equip speed and low headshot that you barely get it off, it does indeed do good damage but even a blue pump vs gold tac it’s fairly equal which isnt good, Charge is also slightly balanced in terms of damage/headshot while the Pump is not finally, the Ranger shouldnt be an option, the Prime Shotgun was more used in C3S4 and in the first shot did more damage and more headshot, sure you dont have the accuracy or range but the fact that you didnt need to reload after was much easier to handle frankly even with the bad shotguns, all of them can be unique and fit into the game properly even clones like the Thunder possibly being a slightly heavier Pump or the Auto being a slightly faster and weaker Tactical Shotgun
