Yes! That would be such an easy fix that I'm surprised no one did it. Then have the heroes try to find out what's going on, maybe even goad Chloe into admitting that she is akumatized in front of people, thus showing the world that this girl is a villain.

@@shellyappiah Y’know, I agree that she didn’t deserve to get the Bee Miraculous. I actually like that she happened to get it by accident, but I think she deserved to keep using it after she proved herself with it in Malediktator and Hero’s Day, and even Miraculer. Her father did everything she wanted except actually be there for her as a proper parent. Just because he used his immense wealth to buy whatever she wanted or used his influence as mayor to allow her to boss others around, doesn’t mean that he truly helped her in any way. No matter how much he throws at her, if he doesn’t take the time to interact with her and give her the proper attention and discipline any child requires from their parent, then he has failed her as a father. I honestly, truly believe if Marinette knew just how terrible of an influence Audrey would be on Chloé, she would not have convinced her to stay. But what she saw was a daughter yearning for her mother’s love that did not seem to be reciprocated. It’s easy to say that Chloé should’ve just been nice to others, because it’s an obvious solution to her problems. But when you’ve grown in the environment that Chloé has, that’s not as natural of a response as it would be to regular people like us. She wasn’t born rude, she learned that behavior from the one person she admired - her mother, and the only other person who could’ve stopped her - her father, didn’t do so. Need I remind you that when Audrey showed up in Paris, Chloé literally followed after her the whole time and mirrored her every move, just so that she would acknowledge her? (Makes me think of Eddy from Ed, Edd ‘n Eddy, who became the sleazy scam artist with a general disregard for others all from trying to imitate the person he admired - his older brother.) Adrien didn’t turn out like her because he had Emilie to help him become a better person, even if Gabriel could’ve been abusive way before she was put in a coma. Marinette and every other student we’ve seen didn’t turn out like Chloé because they had at least one loving parent in their life. Even Kagami, whose mother is currently as awful to her, as Gabriel is to Adrien, didn’t have as much problem with her mom before, who seemed to care for her, at least as long as she abided by her strict rules. Chloé had noone, and she still has noone. Every person in her life gave up on her and abandoned her, which to me is super sad, because she’s still a kid. It’s one thing to look at some horrible corrupt criminal adult and say they are irredeemable, but it’s another to say that to a child who still has time to grow out of it if given the opportunity and time. Also, Gabriel and Lila prayed on Chloé because they knew she was emotionally unstable. The first time Chloé sided with Hawk Moth was so that he would free her parents, when Ladybug couldn’t help (she sacrificed herself, if anything). And then every subsequent time it was easier and easier the side with the bad guys as everyone else hated her, including the heroes, so why shouldn’t she. But, yeah, none of the abuse she got in the show could even compare to the one she suffered from the writers who weirdly just wanted to make this fictional character suffer.

the way i remember it is that gabriel only sent it to miss bustier to get her akumatized, and later on went viral because SHE spread it when she was a villain (can´t remember the name she had when she was akumatized) so parisians only believed in that video at the time there was a villain in the city, but when she was de-akumatized everyone forgot about it because people saw that this was a villain´s work¿ idk if i'm explaining myself well or if i'm just saying things as bad as the show plot does lol even tho nothing excuses the bad writing of the show, not gonna lie, i still love miraculous and for the second time in almost 8 years it made me cry😭

@@shellyappiah "Some people never change," except we literally saw her changing. She was literally starting to have a redemption arc, but Thomas slapped it down because he *personally* hates her. Also, children who have been living under abusive households can get better, by being removed from the toxic environment, into a healthier one, and receiving therapy. Literally any of Chloe's classmates could have reported her family to the French CPS and gotten her out of that situation if the show used any actual logic.

Yeah pretty much. I am reminded of Mindy from Totally Spies and Sissy from Code Lyoko. The spoiled selfish rich girl archetype. Mindy is this done right, because she was never teased to be becoming a better person. She just is always selfish and spoiled. Sissy and Chloe (though I don’t know if anyone had a hate boner for the former like Astruc has for Chloe) were repeatedly teased to becoming better people but repeatedly getting reverted back to who they were at the beginning. No one would probably have a problem with Chloe being this way if that tease didn’t happen. If she was just always the bully character. But that’s not the case and Astruc screwed it all up because of pettiness.

@@riotkitty You're absoluetly right. I could love this episodes. But after her character development destroyed, it feel like this kind of episodes only exist because of character assasination. When I love an episode about Chloe and have a hope about that she can be a great villain, I remember that this is just for C.A. and all of my hope is go back to 0.

@@riotkitty Chloe's progression honestly reminded me of Pacifica from Gravity Falls, a seemingly spoiled bully who acts out but has more layers to her and when we see her life isn't all it's cracked up to be she acts more kind and compassionate

Honesty in retrospect, now the abusive mother thing feels more like "Hahaha! Let's laugh at Chloe! She sucks so hard her mother doesn't even love her!" than the sympathetic moment we all took it as.

Yeah, i think if they replaced Chloe’s villian role with Lila it would’ve worked out better because Lila is definitely a better villian than Chloe because she actually does things that are considered evil like manipulating people and framing mari while chloe is literally just a stupid mean rich girl cliche and never really did anything other than making fun of people. I definitely think she could’ve had a redemption arc unlike Lila who is a lost cause.

@@meesha6723 It definitely felt like Lila was going to be the substitute villain when she first debut, where had Chloe gotten her redemption that was likely going to be the case. Because Chloe having character growth meant that she wouldn't feel the need to be mean to everyone (with the exception of Adrien at the time). And would actually learn to treat others better and learn from her past behavior. That's where Lila would've come in to fill in Chloe's previous role as the bully. Albeit, displaying cunning and manipulative tactics that would've shown how much of a challenge she was going to be in comparison. At least to me personally, it felt like that's what the set-up was going to be before a certain someone's ass who got strucked had to come in and ruin the potential of what would've came from such development.

I’m always just imagining an AU where Chloé’s character wasn’t murdered, and she did manage to change. At that point, anything that Zoey did since her introduction, could’ve just been Chloé instead, and anything evil that Chloé did onward was just Lila. Chloé gets the redemption she deserves, Zoey isn’t missed because everything she had going for her is adapted to suit Chloé (essentially merging Zoey and post redemption Chloé into one character) and Lila gets the screentime she deserves to be built up as a proper villain to follow after Hawk Moth/Shadow Moth/Monarch/whatever else he decides to call himself. Literally everyone wins.

It’s just sad, like remember that one episode queen banana or something- she is so pointless in the plot I’m kind of glad they got rid of her now. When Chloe was giving her speech.. her mom looked happy so I think she liked it when Chloe was on the path of taking over the world??? I’m not sure but since she failed in front of everyone I think Andre disowned her or something (al speculation) and her mom is embarrassed that she’s taken control of her life.. making her homes schooled probably and stuff

@@Orkprof If Zoe was written for Chloe and Zoe literally stole Chloe plot then one of the things that would have happened is that Chloe would have said she had to pretend to be something she wasn't for years and so take up acting, and so create a bond to her father over him being a Director, Queen Banana would have been Chloe's film (in a positive way) and Lila would have used her influence with Gabriel to elbow her way into it. or otherwise mess it up. I can even see the Sole Crusher plot being done with Sabrina instead of Zoe. With Sabrina telling Chloe if she changes or not she will always love her regardless. Giving Chloe more confidence to change. Adrien would have been sympathetic to Chloe (rather than being a massive ass to her) & might have chastised Lila instead. Marinette would have started to learn to distrust Gabriel & worry about Adrien's home life for the 1st time. But nah we get Chloe going homicidal as she wants a robot Gorilla.

But that's so annoying that the show portray this as "look the mean Chloe is doing something mean again !"

Considering how Audrey wasn't around for Chloe when she was younger, it only makes sense that Chloe adopted Andre's corrupt practices, and applied political theory to real life in a way that most twisted for an individual so young.

Will they have cat puns, though (CATaclysm). For example, Catatonia, which could be a power that destroys certain thoughts in the mind, & similar to Venom because this causes paralysis, because the person cannot think straight while the power is in use, like hypnosis, but has no control over the person. The cat pun would still be there, & it is a different form of destruction, as it would cause a foe to lose their memory temporarily. I really do want to see different Cat Miraculous powers, Ladybug has three already: Lucky Charm, Miraculous Ladybug & the Protection Charms.

This scene in Revolution is way more personal ESPECIALLY since Chloe called her to purposely hurt her with the knowledge that her boyfriend was leaving. Even in Chloe's final moments, she's trying to hurt Marinette and you think it's cringe that Mari would defend herself? I mean...

Her mom ignores and verbally abuses her, her father refuses to discipline her or get her therapy like a responsible parent should, literally every adult around her has either just enabled her bad behavior or straight up given up on her. Chloe is a literal child who was shaped by the negative influence of the adults around her. Not that it matters because Thomas's hate boner for a fictional teenager reigns supreme over any sense of logic or character progression when it comes to Chloe, so she's probably just going to be out of the show forever or only remain as a C-Tier villain if she does come back.

FINALLY!!! Someone hinted that out for once, Chloe's etiquettes measures and operates are not successfully her fault; she can't positively be at fault, it's her surrogates fault, for not disciplining their own offspring/child, the reason she's not fully aware of her terrible actions or behavior is because she's never been disciplined by any of her guardians, which is why she's not aware of right and wrong, funny how people say her mother is no excuse for her actions, but in this exact climax and previous episode, proves otherwise; her mom literally approves of her actions, Infront of her, which is why she fails to view her horrendous destructions as a bad thing, this ENTIRE episode and the ones before are visual proof of my claim's accuracy, Baffling Sufficiency? My belief is this was just another attempt to let Audiences And Viewers foreverly acknowledge that Chloe will never be redeemable, it's alright to correspond a character like that, but when you have an opportunity and you eliminate that opportunity to so call "Make the Audience Feel Betrayed" that's a predominant e.g of dilapidation. Following your final question, the authors even had THE AUDACITY of telling us that the lack of decent parental figures was "no excuse", everything's Chloé's fault bc she's genetically evil or something: they had Mylène say "I grew up without my mom too, and yet I'm not like her" and Zoé's backstory is crafted to mirror Chloé's (neglectful mom, ecc.) with the sole difference that the former... just isn't evil. 🤷‍♂️

Nah; the writers will never do that because Thomas hate Chloe so much that he would rather have a teenager be super evil even it means assassinating the character and making insane plots to condone the character then redeem said character.

Her character assassination throughout S4 and S5 couldn't have been more on the nose. They could've put her on a plane to NY at the end of season 3, instead they had to drag on with this farce. Lila basically disappeared for ages to make room for this!

I'm honestly not mad that they refused Chloe a redemption, I'm mad that they went so out of their way to shove it down our throats that she's a bad person that it ends harming the rest of the show.... you could probably make an entire episode-length video with all the "Chloe slander" moments in season 5.

They're literally 14 and 15 and apparently due to the shows logic, they're "grown ups" . The MAJOR character development isn't even deserved they were literally the same if you go back to s1. They act the same, no character developments whatsoever. I mean it's 9 months but there should at least supposed to be some minor development. It would be good and all if they did it where the characters experienced character development instead of jumping to a major character development even though they're the same character from s1.

Luka may be a path to her redemption, or putting her in another show entirely. Imagine they made Chloe a mentor role to a bunch of inexperience younger heroes and she's like "you're asking me" and the kids are like "yeah you know how villains think" & Chloe gives them a dirty look. & then finds herself in Ladybug's oversight role herself. I'd be OK with that for Chloe. Chloe shouldn't have to not be Chloe though, that is her charm her bluntness.

It also seemed, that the people of THIS Paris were totally ok with the fact, that a 14 or 15 year old girl reigns the city, without being elected in any kind

I feel like it could have worked to some degree where chloe being weirdly worst after the loss of master fu was chloe trying to cope so she fell on familar habits...forcig herself to act meaner because it was familar and as a way to distract herself and feel like this was what she wanted insead of facing how she had tried so hard to be good but burned that bridge...which could parallel how both adrien and mari would act in certain ways that often relied on things they used to do(like chat flirting with ladybug or focusing on his crush to pretend like he was fine and be a rick to ladybug with everything changing and trying to pretend like he wasn't bothered by things he felt he had no power over). or how mari relied on her oldcrush on adrien to try to pretend she was fine and that she felt she was still a normal girl who doesnt have to give up on stuff while trying not to think about how she was shuttingcertain peopleout at times or her stress. how ladybug/mari and adrien/chat acted certain ways as a coping mechanism because it was familar...it could have paralleled chloe acting the way she did as a coping mechanism....only no one bothered to realize her acting like that even if slightly out of character from her before and didn't properly adress it to her sinceshe pushed people away. but GOD that freaking episode with the retcon they tried to make chloe ten timesworst than she's ever been to try to excuse mari's behaviour with trauma annoys me so much. it makes no sense since kim hasnt been into chloe since darkcupid MAYBE thadance during chloe trying to be nicer party. but hes had a girlfriend for a while and they act like he wouldn't be symathetic at all finding out one of his pranks really scared her before.. let alone how its clear she didn't have the traumabefore and how it makes all the episodes if mari learning lessons to look deeper into people using chloe make no sens if chloe was THIS bad. then they try to use it as a excuse for us to also look don on how adrien/chat handles things when he is canoically the more patient one of the two and the most empathetic when it doesnt even matter becaus adrien and chloe were ALREADY not friends since zoey appeared. it just feels so weird because the show themitically points that the 'villions' who act ouy and do bad things are actualy hurt people who need the most help. and that if you find the core of their issue and acknowledge it...they can calm down because they feel listened to...and that the right thing is to see they are the ones who also are the most need of help are 'victims'. even as they acted the way they did do to hearing someone seem to acknowledge and valdate their hurt/support them but excouraging them to handlr it in the wrong way. the show points that the one REALLY responsible is the one puhing the victims to be worse because he took advantage of them when they were at their lowest. so they have chloe who was at her lowest get her feelings validated by hawkmoth and lila in the worst ways beaysw no one good is peoperly trying to talk to her/can get her to open up yet they act like I'm uppoused tonbe completely unsymathetic? like yes you have to take responsibility for your own choices and it doesn't change chloe hurt people...but it feel weird because others clearly enabled he into being that badinstead of giving her proper guidance. and they try to force me to symapthize with felix or gabriel despite putting even less work having me understand why they are the way they are.

Not only that, he stole Zoe Lee from Mr. Lee without asking for his permission if it is okay to take Zoe in with him. Because Andrè stole Zoe Lee without Mr. Lee permission, it is imply that Andrè kidnapped a kid he likes because Zoe is nice and sweet. I want to see a court battle between Andrè and the mysterious Mr. Lee of who would take Zoe. I want to see that in Season 6.

To be clear, I don't think saying 'it's a kids show' is an excuse for lazy writing like the multiple failed character arcs (Chloe, Luka etc) but I do think there should be room for the writers to have a bit of a childish imagination and let nonsensical scenarios be a possibility. Chloe deserved better. If only they had actually given her a chance and try to help her become a better person. personally I think she was killed off screen in Miracle Queen and replaced with a crueler sentinclone. She was NOT this bad in the earlier seasons.

Chloe does not understand what a. a friend is. She feels alone because of her mother, but shares Audrey's ideas about people. This could not lead her to be a good person forever, even less a heroine

I'm not mad that Chloe did not become good, I'm mad that they made her a terrible villain. Great villains like Shigiraki and Belos have goals and motivation in which they will perform evil deeds in order to obtain said goal. Chloe here has to be spoon fed evil deeds by other villains because she has no clear motivation of her own. What I really hate about her defeat here was that she was doomed in every scenario since she basically was a puppet for someone else.

And they're teaching bad lessons to the children too
