This is Part Two of a two-part video comparing the New King James Version (NKJV) and the English Standard Version (ESV).
Part One ( • NKJV vs ESV, Part 1 ) provided background information on both translations and concluded that the ESV is easier to read. It also presented evidence that the NKJV is more literal, at least in the New Testament.
Part 2 contrasts the Old and New Testament source texts the translators relied upon, then presents a few examples of where the ESV and NKJV interpret passages differently. It also provides a brief survey of facts one should consider before choosing one of these translations. At the end, it illustrates a graphical method a person could use to help decide between two translations.
