Aufnahmen der Chur-Arosa Bahn der Rhätischen Bahn im Kanton Graubünden in der Schweiz. Auf dieser Strecke werden zwar im Planverkehr ausschließlich Stadler Allegra Gliederzüge ABe 8/12 eingesetzt, es gibt jedoch interessante Zugbildungen mit alten Einheitswagen, Steuerwagen, offenen Aussichtswagen, den Bärenwagen und häufig zusätzlichen Güterwagen für die Versorgung Arosas.
Die Streckenführung ist hochinteressant, so fährt die Bahn zunächst als Straßenbahn durch die Altstadt von Chur, bevor sie sich auf 25 km Streckenlänge von 580 auf 1700 müm durch Kurven, Tunnels und Brücken windet. Ein besonderes Highlight ist das 284 m lange und 62 m hohe Langwieser Viadukt.
Bei Bedarf fährt am Morgen auf der Strecke 1 bis 2 mal wöchentlich ein Güterzug, welcher Holz aus Langwies abholt und in der Regel mit Ge 4/4 II Lokomotiven geführt wird.

Es ist schon ungewöhnlich und faszinierend richtige Züge auf Straßen fahren zu lassen... aber Kombinationen aus Personenzügen mit angehängten Güterwagen UND sogar einem Aussichtswagen um diese Strecke voll genießen zu können. Ich bin absolut begeistert!

They have such cool and unique formations with multiple units pulling freight or the cab car with two old carriages at one end and the multiple unit at the other. I love Swiss railways. Especially the mountain ones.

This is just the normal activity of a day in Chur. No-one gives the freights a 2nd look. To me though, it is quite bizarre. Street running is foreign. Excellent videography. Locations were between great and spectacular. Construction must have been exciting.

_Foreign_ - that's a spot-on description. I guess, one has to be living in them Northerlands, to have as much as needed fresh air and be as cool as possible, to make, essentially, a *tram,* to run goods as a hitchhike. Makes sense, since they don't have to use lorries, yet, looks like something from a toy display stand. Joy of joys, that live scale set.

Ich bin begeistert. Die Schweiz ist ein Land, welches sich nicht die Schönheiten ihrer Landschaft von eklatanten LKW zerstören lässt. In Deutschland zum Beispiel würden da 100e LKW durch die Straßen rollen! Warum geht es nicht überall so? Auf jeden Fall sollte dies ein Vorbild für alle Staaten dieser Welt sein! Dankeschön für diesen wunderschönen Film und natürlich einen großen Daumen 👍👍

Ähm schau Dir die Güter Waggons mal an. Da ersetzt ein Wagon ca 1 LKW. Das ist nicht die russische Staatsbahn wo ein Waggon gut 2 LKW ersetzt ( länger und breitere) Waggons) oder die CP zum Beispiel die Kontainer doppelstockig transportiert und wo ein Zug ca 80 bis 120 Waggons hat. Auch immer überlegen das Zb in Skandinavien die Lkw Fracht 25% weniger Sprit braucht. Dank 60 To und 25 Meter Trucks. Beste Transportmittel ist das Schiff, gefolgt von Zug ( Langstrecke)

@@christianplatzbecker1784 , es geht doch gar nicht darum wieviel Fracht transportiert wird. Alleine schon die Zuggattung! Das ist ein klassischer GmP. Hallo? Selbst im Osten ist sowas seit langer Zeit ausgestorben! Das ist beachtlich und einfach begeisternd. Zu rechnen scheint es sich ja auch. Also, ein Hoch auf dieses Land und möge es ein Vorbild für alle anderen sein!👍

Eine Bahn, die wie eine S-Bahn aussieht, aber wie eine Straßenbahn mitten durch den Ort fährt und auch noch Güter transportiert? Das ist für mich als jemand, der nicht in der Schweiz lebt, auf jeden Fall ein ungewöhnlicher Anblick.

Durch eine jahrzehntelange völlig verfehlte Verkehrspolitik wurde praktisch das ganze System Eisenbahn vor die Wand gefahren. Die Privatisierung hat den Prozess des Abbaus nur weiter beschleunigt. Jetzt, nachdem man so langsam erkennt, dass die Zerstörung großer Teile der Bahn-Infrastruktur ein Fehler war, ist der Rückweg nur allzu oft versperrt. Die Konzentration auf wenige Schnellfahrstrecken ist nun mal nicht geeignet, um die sogenannte "Fläche" ausreichend bedienen zu können.

Bei mir in Karlsruhe ist es umgekehrt. Dort fahren Straßenbahnen auf normalen Eisenbahngleisen. Und das seit über 30 Jahren. Es werden Zweisystem-Wagen eingesetzt die sowohl mit Gleich- und Wechselstrom fahren können.

Очень красиво и необычно. Я сначала подумал , что это трамвай с грузовыми и пассажирскими вагонами, а оказалось это поезд . .. В маленьких городах хорошее решение. В мегаполисах наверное не подойдет. Скорость небольшая Уточнил у специалиста, колея1 метр, скорость за городом до 100 км/ч.

Spectacular operations, and the street running and mixed trains are not a regular thing these days. But I suppose that Switzerland's regulations limiting the use of road freight vehicles and promotion of rail traffic makes this all viable. Rather better having a few emission free trains loaded with timber trough the streets on a day than a constant parade of polluting trucks. Certainly a railway high on my wish list to have a trip on.

Seems a little odd wagons of stones being taken up the mountain. But all stones are not created equaly so the ballast stones must have a required set of proprties. Do the wagons of large logs go to be processed at the Italian border in the south or is there somewhere closer? No snow evident anywhere ,it got hot?

Three wagons seems to be the maximum load for the timber trains. Ginger downhill it's not power but braking that's important of course: 9:30you can see the heat from the regenerative brakes

The RhB (Rhaetian Railway) has several historical steam locomotives but they don't operate on the Arosa line which was electrified from beginning (1914)

Nein. Es gibt zwar eine Haltestelle im Bereich des tramähnlichen Abschnitts, aber es handelt sich um eine ganz normale Bahnlinie. Auf der RhB Linie St.Moritz-Tirano gibt es übrigens in Tirano und Poschiavo ähnliche Bereiche. Siehe hier: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i9WEqdOk1Z2vhYE.html

@@kevincruz4045 it metric gauge (around 3 ft) and 11 kV AC at 16,7 Hz. Only Bernina railroad (the one from St. Moritz to Tirano, Italy) runs under 1 kV DC
