It's funny how their demeanor changes when they realize they're dealing with people on their level financially. It's like you see an instant rapport in the room for a moment and they start treating each other like peers.

These two are already millionaires, but they're willing to admit their weaknesses. These are the types of businessmen that we need to hang around with. They're humble, intelligent, and unpretentious.

I've actually used one of these and they are really good. I think the reason it failed in the pitch is because the door is on a free standing frame. When Nick kicked it the entire door frame twisted, which wouldn't happen with a real door. Also the door itself had no lock, so only point of restraint was the doorjammer.

I liked their gentle sort of Bert and Ernie back-scratching and tie-fixing in the lift. Two guys who are completely at ease with themselves and each other. Sweet.

To be fair, you're more likely to be robbed by hotel employees using keys while you're asleep then you are by masked gunman breaking down doors to kill you. I thought their point on preventing silent entry was pretty good. Still, it doesn't help much when you're not in the room.

These guys are self-confident and shrewd. I love that they saw the humor in it all. That's the sign of a successful person.

This is actually a great product for teenage boys whose parents don't let them put a real lock on their door... I could have used one 5 years ago haha

Can we all just agree how refreshing it is to see these humble millionaires who aren't sure of themselves because they have no experience in the consumer business. You would expect them to be arrogant and obnoxious but no, they're adorable.

I really liked these two guys. Had they not mentioned they were already multi-millionaires in their own right, the Dragons would have invested. He was right to say maybe they wanted them to be poor, desperate and struggling.. And obviously the Dragons knew they would really have to put in the work. And their response at the end is, they enjoyed the experience. Nothing lost for them.

I do belive their product will work better on actual wall attached door. Walls absorb shock from door and door jammer will neutralise leftover.

Nobody becomes a millionaire or a billionaire by working for others and depending on them, good investment bring millions of dollars, and consistency brings billions, the market is all about BTC at the moment now....

To be fair, their mock door was significantly weaker than a hotel door. Plus the mock door frame wasn't adding any strength to the door. A real hotel door would be significantly harder to break into with this product jammed under it.

If you want to spot narcissists, just contrast the way they treat people "below" them, against their equals.

I have one of these, if that door had been in a wall frame and the door handle closed, then the jammer tightened a tad more it would have worked a *hell* of a lot better. Felt sorry for them

The Dragons want poor entrepreneurs just so they can leverage as much as they possibly can to gain the most amount of power and profit. Another Dragon enters the Den and they cannot hack it. The idea was great imo and if the door was in a fixed position it likely would have done better.

Can’t they see the only reason nick made it past it was because the entire frame holding the door was wobbling around and allowing the mechanism to wiggle free. This would not happen to a door fixed within a building

Some people don't need money from Dragon's, they're there only for advertising their's business.

The reality is that the Dragons knew they would actually have some work to do with this one and would have been assessed on their performance by these two sophisticated businessmen. This has been put into the "too hard basket" so they were all oot.

All they need is a experianced Business Development Manager who is familiar with the buyers. Give the guy a propper remuneration package and share options/boni, and off we go!

I love how people laugh at ideas on this show yet half of them actually have a great purpose. Saw one of a chair with a gym built in, the dragons laughed. imagine how well it would do right now with lockdown.

I have always wanted to expand my business but I could not do that because the cash was not forth coming as I had planned. Getting referred to Mr Andy Calistoga played a great role in that vision. Mr Andy is a great mentor and the best trader/Account manager on my list.

I don't know if someone's already said this, but they really should have pointed out that the properties of the mock-up "hotel door" are not the same as that of a real, far more rigid door and frame, and that without the flex in the frame, you quite possibly couldn't have simply kicked it out from under the door like that. Either way, it's still not a secure product, as there are other ways of bypassing it, but a human's brute force isn't one of them.

In a way, the two gents were hiring the dragons to work for them. Interesting that it would be the dragon(s) who were to be saddled with all the responsibilities of making it a success.... as it was stated, this product is just a sideline from their multi-million dollar company so it would be smooth-sailing to get the dragon for 15% of this sideline company( which looks like it’s not worth very much) . Plus the dragon would be giving them tens of thousands of dollars to make their product be a success. Both of these gents are very very cunning...., when they left, the older gent surmised that what went wrong was their wealth..., if they had presented poorer etc etc

Great concept. I've stayed at airbnbs and hostels and not felt 100% safe in the first night, which prevented me from sleeping. Having this would give me a mental security. Besides, that prop door shook off the hinge that's why it got dislodged. Put this on properly mounted door and the intruder would have to physically break the wooden before they could get in. During this time, you have enough time to be alerted.

They both are so old but are still such a good and supportive partners 😊 it just makes me fell good that good and trusting people are rich , they are grounded , humble enough to come to dragons Den with their products , and the way he patt his back in the end they clearly are good people and I would have worked with then just for that reson , how they speak with calm , and not like other over agressive people

It's a mock door for product showing. A real constructed door doesn't have the flex to allow entry like that.
