I'm dirty Yankee fan, have been for over 30 years. But more than that, I'm a baseball fan. Shohei Ohtani is a gift to BASEBALL. And he 100% deserves the MVP over every other player in both leagues this year.

"It's obvious we have never seen this in over 100 years" - Chris Brockman. Then he proceeds to still make the case that he isn't an MVP..... Can someone explain to me how you can say in one breath that this is a once in a century accomplishment and then state that it doesn't deserve the MVP in your next breath. Brockman your cognitive dissonance is at a whole different level. There is an award for the best team.. It's called a championship.

He must be BFF with Carlos Pena cuz Chris is spewing the same bs as Pena did. Chris Brockman is a Bostonian so to him Dustin Pedroia mvp was considered one of the best. Never met a bostonian who isn't a homer. Shame they hired ppl who aren't objective. I would like to ask Chris how the hell this team was shitty last year after 2018 scandal but this year ws contender? 2020 no Alexa Cora = bad year 2021 Alex Cora = ws contender Hmmm??? Ohtani is the undisputed mvp. Look at that shitty team in a shitty city. Beginning of the season when everyone was healthy they were #1 in division. Injuries came and took put trout, Rendon, Upton. Ohtani pitches a gem then he's taken out the BP gives up a Homer. So Chris stfu.

Tell me a player more valuable to their team or the league than ohtani. The angels owner would he living under a bridge rn if it weren't for ohtani making millions for the team through tickets, merch, ect sales. People who havent watched baseball in 15 years are turning in for ohtani, and they're telling their friends to watch. He is the most talented by far and it's obvious. He could easily give up pitching and be a CF or 3B and dominate. Except he is one of the best pitchers in the AL so you might as well keep him there. Not to mention 37 HR and 81 RBI through 102 games. Better than babe ruth at his pitching/hitting peak, only Ruth did it against a bunch of cigar-smoking alcoholics who played baseball for fun in their free time lol. Anyone saying Ohtani isnt MVP is insane or just a straight up hater.

It is many times more difficult for a Japanese person to learn English than for someone who speaks a European language like Spanish, for example. In fact, only a few percent of the Japanese population can speak English, even after almost 10 years of schooling. I am Japanese, and I hope that Americans can understand that. This sentence is written with the translation function. I can hardly speak English myself.

If Ohtani continues to do the two way thing successfully, will he win multiple MVPs down the line or will voters get tired? Russell Westbrook won a MVP the first year he averaged triple double for the season but when he started doing it year after year, the luster of his great feat kind of faded and he never became a serious candidate for that award. It would be a shame if the two way becomes a ho-hum event after a while.
