Clearly dont know anything about the doctor then lol. If Rick is "basically god" then the Doctor is the God of Gods. He literally has beaten actual Gods before and even been worthy of "the glory" which contains all of fiction within it.

Just because the Doctor doesn't use the TARDIS to attack doesn't diminish how powerful it is. We've seen on more than one occasion Rick's ship get damaged and borderlined destroyed. And you know what happened? Nothing. A TARDIS being destroyed has the capacity to destroy the entire universe by causing cracks in space time. That's the level of power it carries. And the reason Rick paused at the end was because he was waiting for the Doctor to start Regenerating, so he could shoot him again during the process and actually kill him. It was actually a smart play on Rick's part since he knew what Time Lord's were capable of in this. But that's why the Doctor made sure to fry Rick's gun before he started his Regeneration, he's just smarter than Rick. And the Doctor is a master at turning his enemies strengths around on them and getting them to take themselves out. Ironically, the more firepower Rick brought to this fight, his car included, the quicker he would have likely been taken down.

Rick picked the battleground. He picked the weapons. He picked the entire fight at every point. The one thing I actually do have some issue with was that Rick's entire "make sure I can never cross paths with somebody who might piss me off and I can't take in a fight, because I already know I stop paying attention to consequences when I'm angry and drunk and I hate myself enough to be self-destructive" defense failed, which allowed the whole thing to happen in the first place.

Definitely, as if removing the rick from a single timeline suddenly removed the ricks from other universes with their own timelines. Like, I respect your voice but I reject your choice.

That’s how it works in story telling. But that rule really doesn’t apply to vs debating. Especially when the vs community agrees this is one of the biggest stomps the show has had in the Doctor’s favor.

This is the general excuse people use when their preferred loses in a VS debate.

It always bothers me when someone takes Stan Lee’s quote out of context. He wrote that as a way for authors to dictate the flow and progression of their stories. He didn’t mean that in a debate setting where both characters have recorded feats and abilities to go over.

@@aerial11 plus rick wouldn't wait for the doctor to regenerate. once he sees he isn't dead yet, he'd just shoot him again mid regeneration, then boom, rick wins. but noOOoO they had to make rick stand there while the doctor regenerated for like a full 10 seconds while monologuing, smh.

@@philosotree5876 Rick has killed God's from almost every plain of reality, he has killed fictional beings and literal concepts, he has killed one of the strongest versions of himself that was able to kill every version of his wife from an infinite amount of universes, he has knowledge about things outside of the show he's in. He's quite literally a self made god because he pretty much willed it so.

Mean they did not mention it but that is part of the doctors in world abilities and is why all his super smart foes allow him to ramble and monologue rather than just shoot him.

Even if Rick shot him while he was taking it would have just been another wound you have to wait till the doctor shoots out energy to actually shoot him to kill him. And uhh about that the whole death during regeneration was retconned. And uhh they nerfed the doctor alot...
