In this video im doing a screen replacement on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8" 2019

Thank you so much! Your instructions were much simpler than other videos I had watched. Before gluing the screen to the frame, I did test and the new screen displayed and the touch functions work fine. For those who are attempting this for the first time, might I suggest covering the old cracked screen with clear packing tape to help prevent flying splinters of glass.

Thanks, very easy to follow. Have one cracks in the glass but screen works fine. Would you recommend trying to replace glass only (seems a tricky process separating the glass) or just replace the whole unit as in your tutorial?

if you dont have the tools, or specalised tools, save the time and purchase of the tools and just do the screen and digitizer as one

that would be the digitizer (touch panel) that would need replacing but i would replace it as a screen + digitizer if you have never done it before

Great instructions, thanks. Took 1hr. I used double-sided tape instead of glue. A flat knife helps get the ribbon cable past the battery too. Replacement screen + post less than 30€.

What kind of the double sided tape did you use and wondering 1 year later how is it still holding up. I've heard the double sided tape doesn't hold as well.

Question, my son put his in water , it’ll turn on but half the screen doesn’t show bright, so would replacing the screen work? Or no?

A bit of a gamble, I would be thinking yes a screen replacement should fix it but can't be certain

Hmm, why not use heatgun or hairdryer to soften the glue or adhesive when removing the touchscreen?

The blue mat that it's sitting on is a temperature controlled It was being used at 75 degrees

Isn't it true that if your not careful with that heat too,in case your not using the heat mat w controlled temp, that if you go too hot it can damage other components? I don't have a heat mat but I have used my heat gun,that gets extremely hot,like insane hot and w that I've always just used the setting at 1 and not even changed it getting too got worried it'd damage components. Idk. Also, would it be OK to use an e6000 glue adhesive, that's all I've got.. ? Hoping it'll work cus I'm broke and havr not a 1$ right now

@@ElohiSilverEarthVentures If you have low budget tools, just use clothes iron and set it to low heat. Put some clothes or towel above it, and place your device side and corner where the glue is located. It works really well for me when I'm not in my workshop.

Leaving a comment to let you know this video saved me ballpark $150 (I think the quote from UbreakIfix was $200. I spent roughly $50 on a screen and tools) I followed this video as a guide. I can only hope you got at least a few bucks for posting the vid.
