Hey man, quick question. I know your bike is a small. What size dropper post did you install on it? I know stock it's 125mm for the small frame, is that a 150mm travel Loam? Just trying to figure out if a 150mm will fit pretty much all the way to the clamp at base. Thanks in advance.

100% agree with you about stability on decends, I also own a SQ3, full SLX and 4 piston brakes also SLX and it is an amazing bike, little bit slow uphill with Maxxis Minion´s, but really enjoyable going down... I was wondering if I upgrade the fork to a 150mm, I was looking for marzocchi z1, rockshox Lyrick or fox 36, im going to look for SR Sountour also... any recomendations?

Is everything on your hard tail stock except for the fork and seat? I wouldn’t mind trying one instead of my full suspension. How do you like it instead of your full Suspension?

Between this and Growler 20 (current out of box factory spec), which one would you recommend that is good for a moderate trails with up and downs? Also, would you recommend 29 or 27.5 on L frame for any of these bikes?

sick vid. I just bought a SQ3 this evening. Got home after dark so haven;'t rode yet but in parking lot at store. Im coming off an older bike so it feels werid but I hope I get used to it. I mostly ride single track, alot of climbing but also alot of fast chunky downhills. I hope I made a great decision.

Love this bike, how is the sizing? According to Marin's website at 6'1" I should be on an XL but I've always had large and don't want it to feel too big.

How great this is...mtb world needs more mark mathews. I can't stop thinking getting rid of my full sus. and get the sq frame. I used to ride hardtails and I really loved it...I rode a steel frame which was really compliant. I'm afraid the sq is stiff as hell...I you could just own one bike, would it be the sq or do you get pretty much trashed on long enduro days? Thousand thanks for your advice!!!

Admire Suntour. Use the Aion 29Boost fork, over the Rockshox Recon or Revelation. Suntour is just buttery on the trails. The Suntour TriAir shocks also get excellent reviews.

where did you learn to ride like that? where I live I don't have a pump track or good trails most of them are uphill 70% of the time. Would you say a pumptrack is the best teacher ?

How solid is this bike? I'm used to chunky rear stays, can you bring me some comfort and let me know how solid it would be jumping alot they look so thin. Thanks man

I tried an xl based on the sizing chart and found the seat tube way to long. I had a 150mm dropper slammed and it was still too long. I run a 210 slammed on my reign. Bought a chromag wideangle instead. Enjoyed the video!

How much travel you using on that beast? I’m contemplating buying a used one of these I found that has a 150mm Fox Factory 34.. plus a bunch of upgrades. Either that or a 2016 Commencal Meta HT for a little less

Damn insane. I sold my long travel enduro, but I’m glad I kept my San Quentin 2 as clearly the bike can handle everything and more then I’ll ever be able to give it. I think I just wanna upgrade my fork. Has a rockshox recon rl 130mm. Would like to swap it for something a bit better quality feeling.

Bought a hard tail, Kona Big Honzo, for my first bike to really learn how to ride. Love everything about it, it’s crazy how much I’ve learned and improved on it. Great video 🤘🏼

How much travel with the fork?

I'd want a hardtail for hitting those jumps (to limit the bucking and vagueness) but a downhill bike for landing them (to limit knee strain and consequences). You're crazy.

yep this bike is amazing I have a large and the frame is actually kinda small for a large but I get plenty of reach and my seat can reach my butt it's nice on jumps it's great.
