Definitely a cool road to experience. I live maybe 40 mins from the start of the TN side. Nowadays I only go to sit and watch the cars/bikes go by while enjoying the outdoors. Unless you go during a time where it's less busy, It can be more stressful than fun to deal with all of the traffic(I go at a pretty leisurely pace and have many people needing to pass, though i end up needing to pass most harleys). Glad you got to escape your winter for a bit, Weather here has been pretty rough for riding so far this year. (at least at the times i'm not working). I'm glad you got some dry roads and not much traffic at all. Keep up the vids

Turkeys are everywhere in the U.S. my guy. Heck, we have areas in Nebraska with warning signs to watch out for wild turkeys because we get huge flocks of them just out wandering around in the road. Sometimes, they are worse than deer lol. Anyway, awesome video. This really lit a fire under my butt to try and get a road trip in to ride the dragon at some point. That's been on my bucket list ever since I started riding years ago.

You officially started the dragon's tail when going over the Tabcat bridge at 2:08. Also, they messed up the road, because the entire tail is getting repaved. It's good you went slow, for your first time. Some of those curves can sneak up on you. I live about 3 hours from there, up in KY. I've ridden it 9 times, and still can get intimidated.

I just got back into riding. Haven't rode in 15 years. My buddy sold me his R1 for a great deal, so I'm having to learn real quick again how to handle that bad boy. 😂 I live about an hour from the tail. That's my goal by the end of the summer.

We had turkeys in FL and now I see them in Missouri. However, never saw them growing up in Virginia 🤷♀️

Antprilia is probs top 5 fastest guys here. He does great on his RSV and Husky 701. Lovely cruise through there, absolutely gorgeous. Great VFR also!!

I appreciate your perspective. Rode the Tail the same way many years ago on a quiet day just to say I did.

I've been there twice and going again this year. You just don't get tired of the Tail. Also there are several other roads around the tail that are great as well.

Great ride and glad you got to tick it off your list. If you ever get over to Australia, The Oxley Highway is a must.

Nice Vid. I noticed you ride far left in left corners. Check out roadcraft, police lines, Varahannes ... etc. That gives you more view, more safety and more speed on the road. ... or don't 😊

nothing wrong with slow! its actually not there for speed, its a public road

Wimpy actually.

Felt like you were a bit underwhelmed by the tail.... honestly .. I thought it was longer :/

The tail is overrated. Cherahola skyway is where it's at

The road he come out of is way better than both. Foothills Parkway. If you like dragging knee that's the one.
