Shortly before a Nashville gig, legendary guitarist Dave Stewart met up with PG's John Bohlinger at Basement East where Stewart spun stories of songwriting, recording, gear, and torturing truckers with banjos.
Dave left his personal instruments in Los Angeles and had to make due with a backline for this gig, but he found two Duesenbergs very similar to what he has at home.
The main guitar for this gig was his signature model Duesenberg dubbed "The Blackbird." The artwork is from his album called The Blackbird Diaries and was inspired by spending some time in Nashville's famed Blackbird studios.
The other Duesenberg is this Mike Campbell signature model which was a gift from the Heartbreaker's guitarist himself. It has become one of Stewart's favorites.

Great job John and the team. You let a lot of space for the artist in this interview. It is great to talk about gear in artistic context. It inspires me to get my shity guitars out of their cases and start to listen to the songs hidding in the caracter of their tone instead running to reberb to find an overpriced guitar wishing that it would unlock my writing. Thanks guys!

one if the better interviews this guy JB from Primer did .1) because he JB said very little but he did blunder agreeing to facts he didn't know , " DS ÷ by 11 JB Sure yeah" the answer was 13 . Instead of saying "I don't know Dave " . But DS paid him a wonderful compliment early in the interview by saying he is a very good guitar player which is correct.
