Lyrics
Hey mama, don't you treat me wrong
Come and love me all night long
Oh oh, hey hey
All right now
See the girl with the diamond ring
She knows how to twist that thing
Oh oh, hey hey
All right now
Tell your mama, tell your pa
I'm gonna ship you back to Arkansas
Oh yes, you don't do right
You don't do right
Tell me what'd I say
Tell me what'd I say right now
Tell me what'd I say
Tell me what'd I say
Tell me what'd I say
Tell me what'd I say
Yes, I wanna know
I wanna know
Baby, I wanna know right now
Yes, I wanna know
Honey, I wanna know
Yes, I wanna know
Hey hey
Ho ho
Hey hey
Ho ho
Hey hey ho ho hey
Sing me one more time
Sing me one more time
Sing me one more time
Sing me one more time
Sing me one more time
Sing me one more time
Hey hey
Ho ho
Hey hey
Ho ho
Hey hey ho ho hey
Make me feel so good
Make me feel so good
Make me feel so good right now
Make me feel so good
Make me feel so good
Make me feel so good
Huh huh
Ho ho
Huh huh
Ho ho
Huh huh ho ho huh
Baby, it's all right
Baby, it's all right right now
Baby, it's all right
Baby, it's all right
Baby, it's all right
Baby, it's all right
Come on, twist that thing
Come on, twist that thing
Keep a twistin' that thing
Keep a twistin' that thing
Keep a twistin' that thing
Keep a twistin' that thing
Make me feel all right
Well, I feel all right
Well, I feel all right
Well, I feel all right
Well, I feel all right
Well, I feel all right
//WILLIAM THOMAS MEDLEY
HE IS AN AMERICAN SINGER AND SONGWRITER, BEST KNOWN AS ONE HALF OF THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS. HE IS NOTED FOR HIS BASS-BARITONE VOICE, EXEMPLIFIED IN SONGS SUCH AS "YOU'VE LOST THAT LOVIN' FEELIN'".
MEDLEY PRODUCED A NUMBER OF THE DUO'S SONGS, INCLUDING "UNCHAINED MELODY" AND "SOUL AND INSPIRATION".
ACCORDING TO WIKIPEDIA HE WAS BORN: SEPTEMBER 19, 1940 (AGE 79 YEARS), SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES
//ROBERT LEE HATFIELD
HE WAS AN AMERICAN SINGER, BEST KNOWN AS ONE HALF OF THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS.
HE SANG THE TENOR PART FOR THE DUO, BUT HIS MOST RECOGNIZABLE WORK IS HIS 1965 RECORDING OF "UNCHAINED MELODY" WHICH HE PERFORMED AS A SOLO.
ACCORDING TO WIKIPEDIA HE WAS BORN: AUGUST 10, 1940, BEAVER DAM, WISCONSIN, UNITED STATES
//FUN FACT
//THE DUO GOT ITS NAME BEFORE THEY SPLIT FROM FIVE-PIECE BAND, THE PARAMOURS. THE GROUP WAS PERFORMING "LITTLE LATIN LUPE LU" (WRITTEN BY MEDLEY) IN THE BLACK DERBY (SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA), WHEN A FEW AFRICAN-AMERICAN MARINES ENTERED THE CLUB. AT THE END OF THE PERFORMANCE, A COUPLE OF MARINES PROCLAIMED THAT THEY WERE "RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS" - WHICH MEDLEY AND HATFIELD ADOPTED WHEN THEY STRUCK OUT ON THEIR OWN.
//IN 1964, THEY OPENED ON THE BEATLES' US TOUR, BUT QUIT MIDWAY THROUGH.
//BILLY JOEL INDUCTED THEM INTO THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME IN 2003. AT THE CEREMONY, JOEL SAID: SOMETIMES PEOPLE WITH BLUE EYES TRANSCENDED THE LIMITATIONS OF WHAT THEIR COLOR AND CULTURE CAN ACTUALLY BE. SOMETIMES WHITE PEOPLE CAN ACTUALLY BE SOULFUL. THIS WAS A LIFE-CHANGING IDEA. IT CHANGED MY LIFE."
//BOBBY HATFIELD DIED SUDDENLY WHILE ON TOUR ON NOVEMBER 5, 2003. HE WAS FOUND IN HIS HOTEL ROOM JUST BEFORE THE DUO WAS SUPPOSED TO GO ON STAGE AT MILLER AUDITORIUM ON THE WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY CAMPUS. HE WAS 63.
//THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS GOT A BIG BUMP WHEN THEY BECAME REGULAR GUESTS ON THE VARIETY SHOW SHINDIG! WHICH LAUNCHED IN 1964. IT WAS PERFECT TIMING FOR THE DUO: THEY STILL LOOKED LIKE TEENAGERS (THEY WERE IN THEIR EARLY 20S), BUT WERE SEASONED PERFORMERS WITH A COLLECTION OF CATCHY POP TUNES THAT PLAYED VERY WELL TO THE SHIN-DIGGERS. THE SHOW WAS PRODUCED IN LOS ANGELES WHERE THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS WERE BASED; AT FIRST, THEY DIDN'T REALIZE THE BROADCASTS WERE REACHING A NATIONAL AUDIENCE.

Why not a crush? I've got one on him and I'm now 73. He had charisma, a quirky sense of humor, looks, so much talent and that smile! From all I've read about him he was a kind and gentle man. He was special. Andy Williams was a singer who had his own prime time variety show for years. His show and singing were a big deal. But Bobby's charm for me overshadowed Bill. Rest in peace dear Bobby Hatfield.

Singing a Ray Charles classic! Andy Williams is one of the BEST crooner style singers ever! In the style of Bing Crosby or Frank Sinatra, etc. He's 37 years old in this clip and Bill and Bobby are 24. Because of the difference in age and genre, they were seeing if Andy was "hip" enough to hang with them. He certainly held his own. When Bobby hits that high note, both Bill and Andy just kind of stopped and were like "Whoa! We can't do that." LOL!

Andy Williams had a beautiful voice and performed into his 80's. Many singers thought he was super talented.❤ When he was in his 80's, Bill Medley was performing at The Andy Williams Theatre and Andy called him in. Bill said he felt like he was being called to principal's office. What Andy wanted was to know how to use the ear pieces he had bought and had seen Bill using. Bill was in awe that a performer of his age who could have just mailed it in instead wanted to improve his performances for the audience. Bill himself has brought the same dedication to his craft.

I laughed out loud at her reaction to Andy suddenly cutting loose and surprising everyone...I just watched this clip for the first time before this, and I was shocked by that too. For me it was even more surprising because I'm old enough to remember all three of these guys in the 1960s, and I never knew Andy to sing out this way. I wasn't sure how this would go before they started, but it turned out way better than I thought it was going to.

Shy and stage fright too I've read many times. Bill said that when most people get nervous they freeze but the more nervous Bobby was the more he talked. When Bobby is in the mist of performing it looks like joy and engagement in the singing and camaraderie take over.. I read that Brad Garrett, (comedian and starred on Everybody Loves Raymond) who used to opened for the Righteous Brothers, said Bobby could have been a stand up comedian , one of the funniest and quick witted people he's ever met.

Uh....no. Unchained melody is regularly voted as the greatest love song ever, you’ve lost that loving feeling was the most listened to song in the 20th century ( per BMI), both songs were immortalized in 2 of the most iconic movies of the 20th century, and they started an entire genre, Blue eyed soul. THAT’s impact. Wiliiams had a very long and distinguished career, but there’s a reason the Righteous Brothers are still popular, and trending again, and no one under the age of 50 knows who Andy Williams is. Legend implies a legacy the endures and is passed down. Righteous Brothers...YES. Williams....as successful as he was i bis day......no.

Another great reaction thank you very much! And here’s a fun “fact” for “Moon River” - always knew it was a good song, but never loved it (thought Andy did it best though). Anyway, I stumbled onto it one night on KZfaq as a live performance in France by Elton John. Never heard him do it (but I’ve always loved his music). He performs his own music usually, lyrics by his life long friend Bernie, but he made an exception here - why? As he confessed to his audience in somewhat awkward French “because I LOVE it!” Well, I now LOVE it also and listen to Elton’s performance nearly every day. Another human being of incredible gifts. That baritone of his is so deep, rich and beautiful, and he plays piano beautifully as well. If you decide to check it out, it’s easy to spot - he’s wearing a hot pink neon suit. Advisory: so beautiful might make you cry!

Andy Williams had a musical variety show in the 1960s. This performance appears to have take place around Valentine's Day 1965 -- hence the amount of pink being worn. From appearances, this is the same show in which Bobby Hatfield sang "Unchained Melody." Andy Williams was no slouch at selling records. According to the internet Andy sold over 45 million of them.

I may repeat some things said below. Yes This is the Andy Williams show. Early 60s to the 70s. Andy is a hold over from singers from the 50s and also went on to have some hits in the 60s. He sang with his brothers, and broke out on his own. One Song I liked was Can't get used to loosing you. Did do a Cover of Moon River which did well. I guess a crooner type of guy. But he does have personality, he got this variety show. So had many different kinds of guests. Has a Great voice. Actually it was on his show the Osmonds got their start. Very popular guy in music in his day till death. 2012.

Andy Williams has a gorgeous voice as well and saw him at his theater in Branson, Mo.before he got sick. Hearing him sing the famous cover songs on an album of greatest hits such as: the theme from the movie Exodus, theme from the movie Summer Place, Maria and Tonight from West Side Story just to name a few; you should pull him up and take a listen because I think you would enjoy him. However, after seeing the Righteous Brothers perform live( at an amusement park of all places) in the 90s they are just the epitome of what it feels like to be stung by vocals. I would love to see Pentatonix do a couple of their greatest hits; if you haven’t featured them yet I hope you will. My personal favorite of theirs is Sound of Silence. I love your channel and am a subscriber because you seem to hit a number of songs which I love; thank you .

I love your reactions! Just discovered you and subscribed! You have a knack. I must tell you that you immediately found my 2 very favorite singers of all time - Freddie and Bobby! You seem to love their humor and music as much as I do! Such a total treat to revisit them in these videos. As far as the music goes, don’t know where it went, but seems like it died about the same time Freddie and then Bobby did a few years later. The 20th century had some terrible events, but the music was fantastic! I was a boomer, so lucky enough to have been there then! Hopefully there’s more to come! Please keep your wonderful reactions coming! And you would probably enjoy some of Freddie’s more “unusual” songs, such as My Melancholy Blues, Dreamers Ball, Millionaire Waltz, Cool Cat, and Exercises in Free Love. I never make requests, but I hope you’ll check some out.

Great how you enjoy. Andy Williams was an unbelievable singer. Homelovin man, solitaire, impossible dream theme from love story. Try them all or even 1. Bobby Hatfield sang on Bruce Springsteen album in 1992. Great reaction as always. 👍

The Andy Williams Show was a Popular TV Variety Series that The Osmond Brothers appeared on as backing performers. He pretty much saved them in the terms of their early career because they got rejected for Lawrence Welk and the Mutha of all Shows at that time Ed Sullivan. Ray Charles "What'd I Say" was a very important part in R & B Music because it was one the first songs that crossed over to the pop chart along with "Shout" by The Isley Brothers. Ray Charles influenced so many folks from Billy Joel, Paul McCartney, even Olivia Newton-John. Another person who was heavily influenced by him was The Late Terry Kath (1943-1976) who was the Co Founder of Chicago. If you can watch The Behind The Music Special about them and you'll see. In Australia Johnny O'Keefe who was one of Australia's hottest TV Hosts also did his Version and bought the House Down. He did a Talent Show and a 16 Year Old won in 1965 and became a Legend who is none other than Olivia Newton-John.

Andy WIlliams had a nice little bunch of hits back in the 50's, and like the Righteous Brothers, sounded a bit like Elvis on some songs.

@@gibsongirl2100 It was before this. If you watch the longer version of Unchained Melody, and Andy and Bill come back to the stage, Andy shakes Bobby's hand and says, "Beautiful!" and Bill is holding the tambourine.

I listened to your comment about Karen Carpenter and it’s nice to hear that you do a little research. That’s a good quality for someone to have, if you’re going to do a review. Keep up the quality and I would like to add another thing the fact that you wait until the end to talk.

I absolutely love your genuine emotion. The Bible sys that we should rejoice with them who rejoice and weep with them who weep and you do. I do so appreciate it- thank you. Given that, I would love to hear your reaction to Janis Ian's "At Seventeen" and "Trouble Every Day" by The Mothers of Invention.
