Very nice and honest review. Thank you for investing the time to make it

Sounds like you used this saw a lot and perhaps it was not enough saw for your work? I'm working on the house and could really use a table saw for the next few projects (I've made due with a circular and mitre saw for the last two closets.) I won't be using it everyday or even every week. This saw a consideration for my next couple of projects including a master closet and built-ins for a home office. I'd also like a saw that can handle a dado blade for building some cabinet doors, which this seems like it would work. Any thoughts for lighter use like this?

I believe that there were a couple factors that lead to the issues I had. I now have a Laguna fusion 2 table saw that is miles ahead of the rigid saw. This is just my experience. For what you are describing I believe there are some dewalt table saws that will accept a dado stack. Just make sure you research and continue to watch review videos.

I did use that saw extensively. I would look into the dewalt models. They have great reviews and will accommodate dado blades. If you want to control some of the variables in a table saw you can build it into a table yourself. There are fence kits that can be used for this as well and are often comparable to the default fence that comes with the saw. With those projects you have coming up it sounds like investing in a proper table saw will be well worth it.

My question is regarding the kickbacks mentioned…is it a safe presumption on my part that you were not using the safety attachments for the riving blade? BTW enjoyed the review for sure…just got my saw today and enjoyed working with it

That is correct. I choose not to use the anti kick back piece because the springs are so tight that the gripping teeth dig into the wood and make a deep gouge line in the wood.

Hello!! I can’t figure out what the little metal piece that switches from both sides of the fence is used for? I know on a Dewalt it’s to hold the wood when the table extended, but on my ridged it doesn’t lay flush.

Hey there, not sure which piece you’re referring to. Would you be able to provide a picture? Not sure if you can do that on here or not.
@michaelwzdanowicz54632 ай бұрын
@@ryanwolf162 damm i cannot get a picture. But if you take the fence off the table, there’s a piece that starts on one side, and you can flip it around the bottom of the fence to the other side. its like 1/2” wide and runs like 2/3” down the fence.
@ryanwolf1622 ай бұрын
@@michaelwzdanowicz5463 I believe this is the low fence. It’s used to handle smaller pieces going through the saw. I’ve never used it but I believe that’s what it’s for.

Hey bud do you know if there is a storage spot for the cross cut fence? I can't seem to find a place where it would store on the saw. Either im blind or there isnt a place to keep it on the saw itself? Thanks

I am racking my brain trying to remember. I want to say it was on the side but I honestly cannot recall. Sorry 🤦🏻♂️

@Ryan Wolf Oh come on Ryan! Think GD!!! Lol jk! No worries bud. I don't think it has storage for it tbh. My brother has the next model up on the stand and on his it has a plastic bracket drilled into the frame it goes on but on this model I can't see any place for it. Guess I'll just just order that one and drill and tap it onto my frame.

@@cwatson42785 haha I’m with you. I tend to make storage for all my Tools and accessories anyway also. If you have the space make an outfeed table with storage, it’s a game changer.
