My civic the same problem. Was it just cleaning needed ? Thanks. This car seems to have only one-stage warning (or no warning) it seems. May i know what software is used to reset the dpf ?

Will low voltage on the starter battery cause this error?

Is it worth cleaning the dpf on a regular basis rather than waiting till you get warning lights and limp home mode.i enjoy the vidios keep them coming.

I would say as long as the DPF is performing correctly, it shouldn’t block, nor show warning lights

It's more important to maintain the vehicle. A good running vehicle can see 300,000 before needing the dpf cleaned

How much do you charge to clean Dpf for Honda civic 1597 DIESEL 2014? Thanks

Just wondering How much that service cost ? As mine just got the same light came few days ago.

People should not be driving a DPF diesel if they only use the car to do 1500 rpm trips around town in ECO mode.

What are the signs a DPF is regenerating on these cars while driving? I've just had the thermostat replaced on my Civic 2.2 idtec as it wasn't getting up to operating temperature on the motorway (it was stuck open). The last 2.2 I had was the Civic 2.2 iCTDi and that was retired at 227k miles due to rust. Obviously Honda didn't fit a DPF to them in the UK so no issues there.

Okay so nearly all honda will only regen dpf with air conditioning on either by obd scanner or by road

At your mileage a dpf reset after a clean will be important most garages domt even have the function on standard garage equipment such as a snap on scanner he's using a launch scanner those are like 5 grand

@@cassk9999 current mileage on my new 2.2 iDTEC is 53k miles. I'm suspicious it's has a forced regen just before I bought it because there's a receipt for an oil and filter change and nothing else. Car was owned by an old guy so hardly any miles for a 10 year old car. Anyway I have a working HDS and calculated PM value is 8.2g and km since last regen is 1200.

@mickl8212 that's great I've just ordered the hds system should be able to do a lot with it

Some more information on this to the original question I asked. My Civic does an ACTIVE regeneration without me having the AC on. There is no status light to tell me it's doing an ACTIVE regeneration but the tell tale signs are, MPG meter scale reads a maximum of 20mpg, the car feels sluggish, the cooling fans are on and the average mpg starts to plummet. It normally takes ten minutes of driving for it to regenerate and then it's back to normal. It will do this driving through town or motorway.

Good job really but now how long will be again need unblock dpf because just cleaning or regeneration will not sort isue long turn will it or need to cleaning regularly will sort the problem out Thank you

Only fault was alternator that didn't return after clearing. Exhaust Temperature, coolant Temperature all working okay so it should regenerate on its own now
