Almost 25 years ago, I had the honor of being the first oboist in this piece. To this day, it is one of my favorite symphonies. Those effortless fluter uns should be an honorary mention here.

Will be performing this in the next few months, spent hours looking for a recording that had such “edge” and list in the second phrase of the 2nd movement excerpt. It really captures the ambience of the work, bravo.
