Rinat Dasaev was widely regarded as the world's greatest goalkeeper in the 1980s - the Lev Yashin of the colour-TV era. Dasaev was the highest ranked goalkeeper in the Ballon d'Or - European Player of the Year award - in 1982, 1983, 1985 and 1988.

He was the best. I had posters of him in my room. He was not a show off, made saves look easy when they were not. his performances in WC82-86 and Euro 88 were epic.

Same with me. I'm from Brazil and I was introduced to Dasayev in the match Brazil x USSR in 1982 World Cup. It's a remarkable game for me as it was the first Brazil WC match that I watched, at least that I remember well, and it was in great style, as it's one of the best teams ever. I was impressed with Dasayev's saves. Great goalkeeper.

Великий вратарь . Король воздуха. Какая игра на выходах! И брал все намертво. Нынешние вратари в лучшем случае выбивают кулаком, а чаще остаются в рамке. А какой сильный и точный бросок рукой! Фантастика. Супер вратарь!!

Este cara pegou muito na Copa do mundo de 1982 contra o Brasil ... O Brasil venceu o jogo. Mas suas defesas me impressioonou tanto que me inspirou a escolher a posição de goleiro !!! Desde então,em todos os jogos e campeonatos que participei, minha referencia sempre foi o Dasaev!

Жесть видос, СПС))) Ринат Велик!!! А тот матч с бразилами и Сократесом мы продули 1-2((( Но он вытянул матч с голландией в группе!!! Там вытащил всё, как они там нас возили, как растреливали Рината, я был в шоке, и Вася Рац забил нелогичный гол, травокуры были в шоке))) Но Этот матч ЕГО))) У меня та игра ассоциируется как потолок вратарского искусства!!! I read somewhere that some Brazilian fathers wanted to call their son Rinat after that game :) maybe they never went through with it...that it only stayed a wish. I agree though - it would've been a great homage to the modern football world's greatest ever goalkeeper.

Если бы Дасаев играл на ЧМ-82 за Бразилию, то вы бы выиграли турнир. Красиво Бразилия играла в атаке, но защитники и особенно вратарь были плохие.

@@Teast92278 Это большая ошибка - считать что СССР и Россия это одно и тоже и там жили только русские. Я-украинец, а не русский, просто слежу за футболом. Дасаев тоже не русский, он татарин. Я смутно помню этот чемпионат, мне было шесть лет тогда, но я играл во дворе с ребятами постарше - 8-9 лет и помню что все они восхищались бразильцами. На ЧМ-86 Сократес был одним из моих любимых игроков - огромный, мощный, бородатый. Я очень огорчился когда узнал что он рано умер от алкоголизма. Надеюсь с вами будет все хорошо. Удачи!

@@forward1176 Я уже знал, что дасаев татарского происхождения, Россия имеет несколько генетических типов, моя жена например потомок казаков по части бабушки приехавшей с Украины (Мария Паливода) и славянских по отцовской линии, Крупчак (из Польши ) остался типичным русским, лол... Я знаю разницу и истоки всех стран бывшего СССР. Я живу в штате Парана, где сегодня 600 тысяч потомков украинцев, обнимаю!

I'm Portuguese, and I'm not from Rinat Dasaev's time or generation, so I didn't watch him play. But i have seen some videos and matches of that time, and Dasaev was, indeed, a fantastic goalkeeper. One of the best of all time, certainly.

Now this, this is a real goalkeeper. None of this over dramatic bullshit we get these days, he commands his box properly, has one fucking hell of throw on him, can reach and catch just about anything and has a really good awareness. I'd love to have played with him, I'm only 18 but holy shit, I know an all time great player when I see one.

Yup. Brilliant. Wish he’d not made so many saves against Scotland!! His distribution was 20 years before ist’s time. His ability to come and get crosses and get then throw the ball is great. We rarely got anything from our games against the USSR and he was a big reason for it. One of the best ever.

I was a kid, when I marveled at Brasil's game at Spain 1982 and equally impressed with Rinat Dasaev goalkeeping skills (like a cat). Only two unstoppable shots could beat him. After that game, many school boys called themselves Dasaev (myself included) when playing goalie.

This is the first compilation of Rinat Dasiev I've seen and a very good one at that it shows how good a keeper he was covering three sectors firstly being able to secure aerial threats secondly counter attacking with pin point accuracy his throws were sometimes long and landed perfectly for his forwards and finally saving shots his shot stopping against the finest strikers in the world was phenomenal and rightfully claims the accolade as the finest goalkeeper of all time

Probably the best goalkeeper I've seen in my lifetime followed by Kahn, Schmicheal, then Buffon. The save that was followed by the throw to feet at 02:56 is just ridiculous. Amazing. By the way the way you edited the video into catagories was really useful. Great video. Thanks.

Dasayev was a brilliant goalkeeper, world class in every way. On his day he was almost unbeatable. He commanded his area so well, a bit like Grobbelaar used to for Liverpool. See how many crosses he caught in this footage! Goalkeepers just don't do that anymore, and they're less affective because of it.

CMEAGAIN Wrong. People who are not Liverpool fans only remember the times he dropped crosses because they were highlighted and made an issue of. If you watched him across his whole LFC career you'd know that 95% of crosses were caught, and he came for a lot of crosses, way more than any other keeper. He commanded his area brilliantly.

Grobbelaar made his fair share of mistakes, like any keeper, but my point is he commanded his area as good as any keeper playing in England at that time....and yes of course I made that percentage up, it's a ball park figure. My point is he caught a lot more than he dropped, and took a hell of a lot of pressure away from the back four. Lets not forget this video is about Dasayev, and about how great a goalkeeper he was at the time. Easily one of the best in the world.

Странно что в ролике пропустили еще один момент.До сих по помню.Отборочный матч чемпионата мира по футболу в Испании,СССР играли со своим главным соперником по группе Уэльсов в Кардиффе.Отчетливо помню-что ни атака хозяев-так сердце в пятки.Кульминацией стал выход Харриса с правого фланга один на один с Дасаевым.Сблизившись ровно настолько чтобы комфортно было бить-выстрелил пушкой в дальний угол.Я до сих пор не могу просто понять-как Ринат вытащил этот мяч.Уму непостижимо.Великий вратарь!!!!!

Классная подборка!Если ещё взять его спартаковский рекорд по количеству "сухих" матчей(который до сих пор не побит),Дасаев однозначно вратарь/1 последних 40 лет,в нашей стране точно.На выходах даже современные вратари так успешно не играют,как он.

I did not like Spartak Moscow as I was a fan of Dynamo Kyiv, but I must admit that Dassaev was a number one football goalkeeper in the world .Togather with Lev Yashin, Rinat Dassaev went down in the history of world football as brilliant goalkeepers .
